I also appreciate vet information, emergency contacts, and any home-care instructions you would like me to follow during the stay.
A typical day
During an overnight house sit in your home, I aim to keep your pets’ day as familiar and comfortable as possible. That may include morning and evening walks, meals, playtime, medication, cuddle time, outdoor breaks, and plenty of companionship throughout the day and night. I enjoy being active and am happy to take dogs on regular walks and, if appropriate, hikes. For more relaxed pets, I’m equally happy to keep the day calm, quiet, and cozy.

I have more than 20 years of pet care experience and have cared for dogs, cats, guinea pigs, chickens, and parrots. I have cared for my own pets as well as pets for friends, neighbors, and clients. I am comfortable administering medication as needed. My focus is always on helping pets feel secure, well exercised, and well cared for while their owners are away.

Melissa did some house and pet sitting for us while we were on spring break. I have known Melissa for awhile and I know that she is very trustworthy and reliable so I was not worried about that kind of thing at all. What made me extra happy was how she really looked out for our dog. She really made sure that our dog got out to have fun and got plenty of attention. She also made sure to send pictures of the dog to my kids so they wouldn’t worry. Because I also know Melissa personally, I have visited her a couple of times while she was pet sitting (only with the owner's permission, of course!). She is very conscientious about being responsible and goes above and beyond to make sure that she is worthy of those labels. She definitely puts the well-being of the pet and satisfaction of the owners above all. I would recommend Melissa to house or pet sit without any pause or reservation. Melissa has watched Luna more times than I can count and Luna gets so excited when we pull up to her house. The only reason that I don't use Melissa every time is distance...I'm two hours away, but she is my go to when I'm headed to Vail. It feels like I'm dropping Luna off with family, not just a sitter.
