Hi, I'm Melissa! Working as an art teacher here in Howard County, I have a passion for animals and just love taking care of them! I unfortunately can NOT host pets overnight at my house because of regulations where i'm living, but am more than happy to do overnights and watch your fur baby in their homes. I will come pick your pups up if you've requested a walk or other services, and can either take them to some of my favorite walking trails or go around the blocks in your neighborhood. I have basic vet knowledge and am comfortable treating minor injuries and administering oral and injected medication. I have worked with all kinds of animals, scaled, feathered, furred, finned, and love them all! Please feel free to send me a message and ask any questions you may have. Thanks! Please note that starting June 17, 2025, all sitters received a service fee increase. Due to these changes, I have modified my rates accordingly.

Melissa is awesome! When we were headed out of town for nearly two weeks, we were understandably concerned about finding the "right" person to house sit our two beagles. Without a doubt, Melissa was the one! She not only took care of the dogs, the fish tanks, and the house, but she also communicated with us regularly and sent lots of pictures and short videos. She clearly enjoyed time with "the girls" and we felt extremely comfortable with her in the house. And she even got one of our pups a present for her birthday while we were away. Thank you Melissa!

I have a pretty flexible schedule so can usually make most things work. When sending me a request, please add the ideal visit times and we can go from there to make sure my availability is a good fit for your pets needs.
