Pet care experience

Board your loved pets Witt us

🐾❤️ Calling all pet lovers! ❤️🐾 Looking for a cozy, loving home away from home for your fur baby? That’s exactly what we offer here at Board Witt Us Boarding & Day Care. Imagine your pup making new friends, enjoying belly rubs, tasty meals, and curling up in a comfy bed at the end of a fun day. We treat every pet like family — because when they stay with us, they become part of ours. 💕 My husband Jeremy and I are lifelong animal lovers who provide round-the-clock care and attention. Someone is always home with the animals, so your pet will never be left alone for long. ✈️ Traveling or relocating? We’ve got you covered. We are conveniently located just 2.2 miles from the airport, making drop-off quick and easy on your way out of town. We are also located in a military community and just 20 minutes from base, which makes boarding during PCS moves, deployments, or travel simple and stress-free. 🏡 Our Home Setup We live with my parents, but we have our own fully renovated loft above the garage dedicated to our boarding guests. While my parents do have their own pets (1 dog and 2 cats), their animals do not share space with our boarding area. 🐾 Our Fur Babies We have our sweet Golden Retriever, Faith, who is 5 years old and has epilepsy, so maintaining a calm and safe environment is very important to us. Because stress can trigger seizures, we cannot accept overly hyper or chaotic dogs. We also have our cat Galinda, who is very dog friendly and used to being around visiting pups. Because of our household, all dogs must be cat-friendly. 🐱 Cat Boarding We also offer a separate spare room specifically for boarding cats that are not socialized with dogs, so they can stay comfortably and stress-free during their visit. 📋 Meet & Greets Required (Complimentary) For the safety and comfort of your pet and ours, we require a complimentary meet and greet before all first stays. This allows us to make sure everyone gets along and that our home is a great fit for your pet’s stay. 🛏 Crates We do not crate train. If your pet requires a crate for sleeping or downtime, please bring their crate from home. ⏰ Booking Requests Please note that booking requests must be confirmed within 72 hours. If we do not hear back within that time, we will archive the request to reopen our calendar. You can always submit a new request if your plans change. 💗 Our Promise Your babies will be loved, cared for, and absolutely spoiled while they’re with us — with your permission, of course. 😉

As always, another fantastic boarding experience with the Witts! ❤️ Our 2-year-old Standard Poodle, Sir Collin, clearly enjoys his stays, and we really appreciate all the photos and videos. It’s so reassuring knowing he’s well cared for and spoiled while he’s there!

Kahlua had a good stay with Melissa and Jeremy. They were fast to respond to my questions and gave my dog a safe and comfortable place to hang while my Family explored Norfolk.

Schedule

As lifelong animal lovers and pet owners, my husband Jeremy and I provide around-the-clock love and care for the pets staying in our home. Our Golden Retriever, Faith, is 5 years old and has epilepsy, along with occasional UTIs due to her anatomy. Because of her needs, we are very familiar with maintaining a consistent care routine, including frequent potty breaks (typically every 4 hours or sooner if needed) and administering medications morning and night. Our cat Galinda also requires daily care, as she has thyroid issues and takes medication, so we are very comfortable with administering meds and paying close attention to our pets’ health and routines. Between caring for Faith and Galinda, we are used to maintaining structured schedules and staying attentive to the needs of the animals in our home. Between the two of us, someone is always home with the pets, ensuring they receive plenty of supervision, attention, and care throughout the day.

Safety, trust & environment

Your babies will be treated like part of the family while they’re here. Jeremy and I provide a safe, loving, and attentive environment where pets receive plenty of supervision, affection, and care throughout the day. Because someone is always home, we’re able to keep a close eye on everyone and make sure each pet is comfortable, happy, and settling in well. We take the time to learn your pet’s routine, personality, and needs so their stay feels as close to home as possible. Our goal is simple: a safe, calm, and loving place where your pet can relax while you’re away. And yes… they will absolutely be spoiled to the core — with your consent of course 😉.

Pets

A typical day

When pets stay with us at Board Witt Us, we like to make their visit feel like a little vacation of their own. That usually includes plenty of playtime in the yard, exploring, stretching their legs, and enjoying the fresh air. Inside the house is where the real relaxation happens — with snuggles on the couch, belly rubs, and lots of attention. Some of our favorite traditions include ice cream dates (pet-friendly of course), and our famous Sunday morning home-cooked breakfasts that the pups absolutely love. And while we always respect the rules you have at home… sometimes vacation comes with a few extra perks — like being allowed on the furniture for cozy cuddles if that’s something you’re comfortable with. Every pet is different, so we tailor the fun to their personality — whether that means playtime, lounging, or just soaking up all the love and attention.

Every pet is unique, and the more we know about them, the better we can make their stay feel safe, comfortable, and fun. Please let us know if your pet has any special needs, medications, quirks, routines, or preferences. We’re happy to accommodate things like medication schedules, mobility assistance, dietary needs, or extra potty breaks. I have quite a bit of experience caring for senior and special-needs pets. Two of my previous dogs lived to be 18 and 21 years old, so I’m very familiar with the extra patience, attentiveness, and care that older pets may need. I also have experience with canine epilepsy, as our Golden Retriever Faith currently has it, and a husky I previously owned also experienced seizures. Because of this, we’re very attentive to behavior changes, routines, and maintaining a calm environment for the pets in our care. Growing up, I actually wanted to become a veterinarian. While I ultimately chose a different career path, my love for animals — and my attention to detail when it comes to their care — has never changed. I take pride in understanding pets’ needs and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they’re with us. At Board Witt Us, your pet isn’t just another booking — they become part of our extended fur family. 🐾
