I'm currently working part-time and headed back to school. I am open from afternoon through evenings and weekend walks. I can't stand being in the house so you could find me out walking or running often. I might as well pick up your furry friend along the way!

I am comfortable taking your friend on a walk, run, or just playing at home. I am only comfortable with letting them out unleashed if it is a fenced in area. On walks, I must have a leash for maximum safety. No running loose, please!

My preference is smaller dogs just because extra large dogs could easily pull me if not trained well. However, if your dog is over 100 pounds, I am willing to walk them if they won't pull me down the street! Any medical conditions need to be known.
A typical day
Each pet has different needs whether that be walking, running, sitting on the couch or playing ball outside. I am willing to do anything from sit on the couch to go on a jog with your furry family member! Just let me know what your dog loves to do and I am willing to accommodate. My favorite thing to do with my two dogs is to go on a super long walk and let them sniff everything their heart desires.

Pet care experience
I currently have two Maltese and have been a devoted dog owner for almost 20 years. One of them was a rescue with an unforgettable personality, which only strengthened my love and appreciation for animals. Dogs hold a special place in my heart, and I treat them with the same care, attention, and affection that I would give to family. I genuinely enjoy meeting and interacting with dogs and often find myself stopping to say hello to a pup and their owner during my day. Whether your dog prefers a leisurely walk or a more energetic run, I am happy to accommodate their needs. Safety is always my top priority, and I believe dogs deserve a walker who is fully attentive and present. When your dog is in my care, they will have my complete focus and attention. Professionally, I am a nurse, a role that has strengthened my sense of responsibility, compassion, and attention to detail. In my personal time, I love running and spending time outdoors. Combining my passion for an active lifestyle with my love of dogs makes this an ideal opportunity for me, and I would be honored to care for your furry family member.

I couldn't be happier with Melissa as my dogsitter. My dog acts like she lives here. Melissa sends photos and reports after each walk which gives me peace of mind when I'm at work. She has offered to jog with my pet in addition to walking her on days I can't get home in time for my dog to get exercise. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to look after their pet(s).
I'm happy to hear that Melissa is making herself available to other dog owners. She was the favorite of all five of my dogs (225 lb Mastiff to 15 lb Heinz 57). Most importantly, she would actually run long distances with the labs who needed more than just a leisurely walk. Very responsible and trustworthy. Definitely had the ability to recognize when animals were not their norm and perhaps benefit from a veterinarian visit, or other special attention. I can wholeheartedly endorse her and I am confident that the dogs with which she works will get the best of care and attention.
I only use Melissa because she absolutely loves animals! I can tell by the way my pup responds to her when she shows up! She’s reliable, a great communicator and most important, takes care of my dog like she’s her own.
