Your dog will be family !
Your dog will be on vacation and will enjoy long walks, play time and relaxation while in my care. I can text daily pictures (if requested) and give your dog a bath before the end of their stay. I love taking care of dogs and know they will enjoy staying at my house with me. I've have been pet sitting since the 7th grade and have been the go to pet sitter for friends and family. I also watched bunnies, dogs, cats, fish, birds, hamsters and guinea pig just to name a few. I was a volunteer at the Fairfax county animal shelter for 8 months and have also worked at Petsmart. I love pets and can't wait to watch your pet.

Melissa was terrific and super accommodating. This was a last minute booking on a holiday weekend and she still made the time to do a meet and greet and was very flexible with pick up and drop off times. Melissa sent pictures and was very communicative through the whole stay. I appreciate her and her family for their care of Elle!

Will be booking again!! Melissa took such great care of my pup, she sent multiple pictures each day of their adventures and I could tell my pup was having the best time and being very well cared for. I sent over a long care guide and she confirmed and clarified everything on it so I had a peace of mind that my pup was in good hands. It can be tough putting your pet in the care of others but I highly recommend Melissa to ensure your pet is loved and cared for!
We were so pleased with Melissa’s stay with our pets. She is reliable, communicated well with us while we were away by sending photos and updates. We also appreciated her flexibility when our travel plans changed last minute. We came home to happy dogs and a well kept home!
Melissa was kind to take us on during a short notice. My neighbors said she spent lots of time with the dogs and always had them on a leash; however she didn't follow the instructions left for her. She used pristine white bath towels to clean up a seniors accident instead of the dog towels. She didn't crate the dog when answering the door, despite given warning that one of the dogs was very protective and afraid of strangers. And despite the instructions given in person at the initial meeting, on Rover, and for each dog to have a one page instructions not all of one dogs insulin was given. My neighbors spoke very highly of her, but I was disappointed.
Melissa was great! We came Home to happy dogs and the house as we left it. We were nervous as we had not used an in-home pet sitter before and weren’t sure how Parker would react and also we had just adopted a new dog and she is still adjusting to our home and our first dog. Melissa helped make us feel comfortable and took great care of the dogs.

Schedule
I work full time but have a flexible schedule to adjust to the times needed for dog walking/sitting to ensure they are taken care of. I also don't work on the weekend. I am available for house sitting too.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a small fenced in yard but dogs will be going on walks with me and always in the home where they can be cozy and comfortable. If your dog love the beach let me know and they can join me on my morning walks.
A typical day
The city I live in has a lot of paved trails and the beaches are walkable too. If your dog enjoys a dog park let me know and we can do through the ball around.
