I’ve had dogs of my own over the years and have raised them from puppies, so I’m very familiar with all stages of a dog’s life from training and high-energy puppy behavior to the needs of adult and senior dogs. I’ve also personally fostered two daschund dogs for several years while a friend went through a difficult transition, caring for them full-time until she was able to find pet-friendly housing. That experience really deepened my understanding of long-term, committed pet care. Over the years, I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and breeds from larger dogs like Boxers to small breeds like Boston Terriers, Dachshunds, and Yorkies. I truly love them all and adjust my care based on each dog’s personality, energy level, and needs. Whether it’s playtime, walks, or just companionship, I focus on making sure every pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away.

Melissa and her husband, Adam, enjoy a house filled with three children (one who leaves for college this fall) and a history of many kinds of pets. Dogs, cats, a rabbit and tropical fish have been part of the family over the years. Mellissa personally enjoys frequent engagement with the family pets and in this way teaches responsibility and proper care of pets to her children. Melissa works from home as a mortgage loan officer assistant. The flexibility in her work schedule allows her time to attend to her pets (now just two cats) and the pets she cares for. Melissa demonstrates strong responsibility and attention to the specific needs of the pets in her care. Melissa has cared for our pets in the past and I know she will give the same attention and love to all pets in her charge.

Schedule
Pet care fits easily into my daily routine since I work from home Monday–Friday, which gives me flexibility for walks, feedings, potty breaks, and playtime throughout the day. My availability is open, and I’m also available most weekends.

At my home, I provide a safe, family-friendly environment where pets are cared for like part of the family. I have a 10-year-old girl and a 13-year-old boy, so I always ensure interactions are supervised and safe for both the pets and children. I follow each pet’s normal routine and make sure they feel comfortable, secure, and well cared for while staying in my home.
