I work a full-time, 9-5 job, with a lunch break to check in on pups at home. I treat any furbaby as if they were my own and take the responsibility of having them very seriously. I am very attentive to their needs and will walk/feed before and after work and usually play with them until they are tuckered out when I am home. Weekends they get my full attention.

I would like to know of any fears or medical conditions that I may encounter. If you dog is afraid of bicycles, for example, I would avoid a place with lots of bike riders. I would also like to know their favorite things. If they like car rides or playing fetch or swimming.
A typical day
I like to take dogs on walks with lots of smells. Depending on the dog's comfort level, that may be in a less busy place like the Peach Barn trails in Lakeville or in a more active area like the Waterworks property or Pratt Farm.

Pet care experience
I have had hound dogs my whole life, cats for most of my life, and other critters including turtles, guinea pigs, lizards and hamsters. I will care for yours as if they were my own. I am always pet sitting for friends and neighbors. I enjoy it and love taking pups for walks and play time. I take the care of a pet very seriously, as they are furbabies that are part of the family and I want the family to feel safe and happy knowing their pet is in good hands. I currently work full-time on a typical 9-5 day, but I have a flexible schedule and free time to devote to the need. I can do overnights, before and after work visits and weekend pet care. I have a secluded and quiet neighborhood. I do not have a fenced in yard and prefer to be outside with your dog walking them or sitting with them on a tie out system that I have. I own my home. My dogs have passed away from old age and I do not have one at the moment. Someday, when the time is right, I will have another couple of rescue dogs. I would be happy to take care of your dog though, as it is just as therapeutic for me as it is for the owner's knowing their dog is in good hands. I want the owners to have peace of mind that their dog/cat is safe, happy and cared for.

Melissa was wonderful! Only my second time using Rover and first time working with Melissa. My pup is very reactive and particular so it’s difficult to find boarding options for her. Melissa suggested a meet up before fully booking to make sure the it was a good fit, which I SO appreciated. It made me feel more at ease when it came time to board Finn there. She took careful notes when we talked about Finn’s likes, dislikes, meal times, medications, etc. It’s clear Melissa is a very detail oriented, responsible and kind person. I only wish I lived closer to her so we could work with her more often.
