Depending on the work day, I can work remotely, but I do mostly go to work each week day. My schedule each day can be flexible though, so as long as your home isn't too far from OSU, I can very easily return to do lunch walks! I've recently gotten my own cat again, so I'm restricting my stays to less than a week. I don't want too many nights in a row away from him because he really does better when we're together at night vs alone.

I currently have a cat, a fish and LOTS of plants at home, and they're all thriving! I'm great at following instructions and I feel like I tend to read animal body language really well, so I'm good at knowing how they want to interact with me and how to respect their boundaries. I also stay calm and don't blame the animal if they're scared and I get scratched or nipped at. I really respect animals as their own little beings and love learning about their different personalities. While caring for someone else's animal, I really want to minimize disruptions in schedule and environment for the animal since it's already stressful for them to be without you and instead a stranger. :)

Do they have any triggers in the home that I should address or on walks that I need to keep an eye out for? I also appreciate a good description of how/when to feed them (including allergies or dietary needs) or administer medications.

I think I have an appropriate amount of anxiety about keeping other people's animals safe, so I don't usually want to go out and do a bunch of stuff with them... I like to keep them safe in their home or on walks. But if you want me to take them somewhere specific or on hikes, I'm happy to do that with your consent! And I do love hikes for the record. :)

I've had cats my whole life, but have been responsible for watching lots of different types of dogs in the last 10 years. I'm comfortable with bathing/grooming and most medications for cats and dogs (I haven't had to do shots yet, but would be willing to learn). I'm happy to uphold whatever rules you have for your animal (like allowing on furniture or not). I can also handle a reactive dog on walks and will help them avoid any triggers!

Melissa is the best! She sent frequent updates (with adorable pictures) and our minds were completely at ease knowing Willow was in such great hands. She also took great care of our home and brought packages in while we were gone. Would definitely book with Melissa again!
Melissa was wonderful with our senior pup. She was very attentive to her needs and very respectful of our home. Will definitely book her again.
Melissa is a great sitter! She pays attention to all my cats need, and sends me messages if anything goes wrong. She also takes the best photos of my cats.
