Supporting people with pets is one of the most rewarding jobs ever! I spend so much time with pets that pets instantly know I'm a pet person and warm up to me quickly. While I'm with your dog(s)or cat(s), I offer playful, calm, professional experiences and meet your pets needs where they are. I have decades of experience looking after hundreds of furry, finned, scaled and feathered pets. Having grown up caring for my own pets has led me to understanding pets as well as having learned through a Reiki Master and studied with an Animal Communicator about animal communication. Caring for clients pets began when I worked with nurses supporting hospice patients a couple decades ago. I am familiar with caring for all ages of pets, from puppies/kittens to elder pets. I have experience with reactive, unsocialized and pets in training. I'm available to administer insulin injections, oral & topical medications if needed. Does your dog enjoy long walks rain or shine? So do I! I also pamper the pets who prefer the indoors with their creature comforts. I'm available for walks, and day care & overnight services in the comfort of your pet's home and neighborhood. If your dog likes trips to the dog park, or going on hikes I'm your gal! If your pet needs a trip to the vet and back I can help. I look forward to being a pet care support for your pet, I will love them and give them the best attention while you're away. ❤ I generally have windows of flexibility with my schedule when I'm not supporting people and pets as an End of Life Doula, Compassion + Grief Support Companion, Reiki Master, Trauma Informed Yoga + Meditation and Holistic Healing Arts Facilitator. While in your home, in the yard or on walks with your pet(s), I will maintain a safe environment just as you do. Your pet(s) is/are my top priority and I'll keep you updated on how your pet(s) and home are while we're together with photos, videos or text updates. I never assume and will ask you because you know your pet(s) best.

Melissa was great with our baby puppy and cat. She was thoughtful and thorough in her updates and questions. She even helped us work through some puppy tummy troubles. Her patience and care was greatly appreciated as this was our first time away from our puppy. She also took great care of the house and made sure the pets and the home were comfortable for all upon our arrival. Excellent help and care!
Melissa was great with our cat Olive, including administering her asthma puffer twice a day. Lots of pictures to let us know that Olive was well cared for.
Melissa is the absolute best! She took excellent care of my dog, Sully. She’s reliable, kind and so good with animals. 10/10 recommend!!
Melissa is a star and our cat loved her. Our cat is diabetic and needed insulin shots, which Melissa took care of with ease. She sends lovely updates and keeps a keen eye on your fur babies, even if it’s a quick drop-in session. We were hoping to find a regular pet-sitter and are so glad we found Melissa!
Melissa was fantastic! She was kind enough to come for a meet and greet so that we get comfortable before her first visit. During her visits, she sent lots of photos and great info, and it was clear our cat felt comfortable and happy with her. She was communicative, professional, and kind. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
Melissa took amazing care of our 3 cats while we were away for a few days. We were so grateful for the extra time Melissa spent for the meet and greet with our cats (we didnt know what to expect but theres apparently a lot to go over with 3 quirky cats!); it went longer than my husband and I had anticipated, but Melissa was super friendly and didnt seem hurried at all. our fur-babies tend to get nervous around strangers, but she was very patient and calm around them, and they seemed to get comfortable with her pretty quickly. Her communication was great, and we really appreciated the pics she sent. We hope she's available next time we go out of town!
