A typical day
Providing not only physical stimulation but also mental stimulation, using puzzles, snuffles, mini obstacle courses. When it comes to pets of all kinds it is important to provide a balance of physical and mental stimulation for their overall health. During walks, I will also be focusing on basic training ( sit, stay, come, etc.) by doing this not only are they getting the workout needed from the walk, they will also get the mental stimulation needed to keep them sharp 🐶

Pet care experience
I have recently graduated from the Animal Care program at Sheridan College. There I learned basic first-aid and CPR, training/restraint/handling technics for both dogs and cats. I grew up with both cats and dogs, my entire life. I have also worked at doggy daycares and currently working at Pet Valu. I believe my combination of knowledge, compassion and love for animals sets me apart from others.

Reviews
Melissa has been a reliable caretaker for my two rescue cats, one who has neurological issues due to malnutrition and the other with FIV. she takes great care of them and gives recommendations based on her expertise and experience. They seem to thrive while with her, taking extra care due to their special needs. I highly recommend Melissa!
Melissa cared for Nyx (dog) and Hank (cat) wonderfully. She even remembered to turn off the lights before leaving, going the extra mile! Highly recommend.
I have had Melissa pet sit for me on a few occasions. She has been responsible, caring and formed a bond with my dog. I can recommend Melissa for short or long term pet care.
I can’t say enough great things about Melissa ! From day one, Melissa’s been reliable, attentive, and genuinely caring. My dog warmed up immediately, which says a lot—he’s usually slow to trust new people. Melissa pays attention to the little things too, like making sure he gets his favourite toy, has fresh water, and sticks to his routine. What I appreciate most is how patient and kind Melissa is. Whether it’s dealing with my dog’s quirks or giving him extra time to sniff around, she always go the extra mile. It’s clear Melissa truly loves animals and takes her job seriously. I feel incredibly lucky to have found someone I can trust with my dog. Highly, highly recommend!
