My kids are grown and gone, I’m single and work from home, anywhere I have wifi. I walk pets early in the morning, and spend 90 minutes at the gym which is potentially the longest your pet would be without supervision and care.

Let me know if your dog has special needs that I can attend to. I prefer dogs who don’t chew on personal items and are not aggressive despite commands. « Special » and varied character traits welcome all the same.
A typical day
I’m a runner and outdoors enthusiast so active dogs are welcome. Trails, woods, beaches provide the best sniffing/rooting opportunities. If they like water we will play fetch for swims. Indoors I’m always in for a snuggle and I talk to them a lot.

Pet care experience
I’ve cared for seniors and disabled humans. All my pets have been rescues including dogs, cats, goats, horses, rabbits. Current work is with purebreds (not exclusively) and I’m training in scent tracking with 2 of them.

Melissa took care of our two cats while we were out of the country and she did a fantastic job! It was very easy to coordinate a schedule with her, she is very responsive and most importantly, trustworthy. I highly recommend Melissa to take care of any and all fur babies! She will always be our go to when we need someone to come into our home and take care of our pets.
Melissa is absolutely magical with all my animals! We have three very different dogs as well as two cats and a bird that requires very specialized care. She has been great! She takes the dogs for adventures, and was even willing to enter and compete with my big dog in the keg pull contest! We have an electric cat box that started to malfunction when we were gone. She was able to fix it with no problem! She sends photos often so I can see what everyone is up to. She is just great! I cannot recommend her highly enough!
She is a wonderful person to take care of your pets. She is dependable, timely, and very loving. She took care of my cat, staying in my home when I was out of town. The house was in perfect condition when I returned, and my cat seemed unhappy that I was home! She obviously loved Mel taking care of her! I highly recomment her.
