My husband and I work from home with our 2 adorable rescue hounds. We started Rover because of a separation anxiety diagnosis in our senior pup. We started using Rover for him and quickly realized how important a caring, safe, committed, low-anxiety and loving environment is (for us just as much for our pups!) We are an active bunch that love to walk and play. We are comfortable with rescues and the quirks that they come with. My husband has grown up with dogs big and small. From yorkies, to German shepards, to labs, and now a hound; we have plenty of breed experience. When Cody and I first started dating in college, we walked a dog, Addie, twice a day to afford our date nights. We have always had a passion for dog care taking! Our senior hound has lots of anxiety so we’ve become self proclaimed experts at watching for body language and triggers. We are comfortable with administering medication and take the proper care to make sure that they get their medication on time and how they’re used to taking it. Our goal is to make your pup feel comfortable, at ease and as close to a home environment as we can. Our house is free to roam and our furniture is dog friendly if that’s what they’re used to. Any specific routines that you’d like honored we can do our best to accommodate. We look forward to welcoming your pup to the fam!

Melissa and Cody watched our dog Ozzy for a few days. They took excellent care of him during his stay and made him feel right at home. They sent us so many pictures and videos of oz and all the new friends he was making. It made our hearts so happy that he was happy and comfortable. We will be happy to have Oz stay there again in the future can’t thank them enough!
Cody and Melissa and their dogs we great to our lab Chewy. They were great with sharing pictures and updates. Will work with them again and highly recommend them for others.
Melissa and Cody are OUT of this world incredible. My husband and I have always been reticent to use this type of service and have only ever used a large kennel dog daycare thinking that was the best option. We were blown away by how wrong we were. Melissa and Cody treated us and our beloved yellow Lab like family. We received pictures and videos daily. The first one came within an hour of drop off showing us that he had friends, was happy, and relaxed. He has some health issues with arthritis in his leg and they had him moving, grooving, and met all of his needs. He used to come back so stressed out from the daycare place but after his stay with Melissa and Cody, he was his completely typical self. We could not be more grateful. Our dog will never stay anywhere else. Melissa and Cody were highly recommended to us from a trusted friend and now we can see why. I can not rave enough about the kindness, care, communication and thoughtfulness. Top notch!!!
We’ve had a great experience with Melissa and Cody watching our pup Cami! She was all smiles during the meet and greet and got all her energy out during her first day! Melissa and Cody were super responsive and flexible during the process and we will absolutely be returning!

Melissa and Cody’s daycare and boarding set up provides such a wonderful, safe, and welcoming space. My pup had a great time during our meet and greet and is happy and exhausted at the end of our first full day of daycare. I received pictures throughout the day and we will certainly be returning for more fun!

Schedule
Cody and I work from home so we are extremely flexible throughout the day. One of us is always available to meet the needs of our furry friends.

Safety, trust & environment
Our home sits on 1/3 of an acre is completely fenced in. We live on a quiet street and directly across from 10+ acres of land that our hound dog loves to sniff around in. We are also conveniently located in between West Chester pike and Paoli pike and right off 202 for easy driving access!
Pets
A typical day
A day with the Brights is fun and active but also relaxing and restful! We have a large fenced in yard that dogs can run around in, we love to walk up and down our street or in the fields across from us, there are lots of parks near by and dogs are allowed on all furniture :) we also have lots of toys to play with and enjoy as well.
