I follow feeding schedules religiously, and am an avid treat giver unless I have been instructed otherwise. I love talking up pets and giving them lots of praise and play. For dogs, I take them out for frequent toilet breaks and stimulation. For cats, I enjoy playing with them and will clean the litter box once per day.

I like to have clear feeding instructions, notes on any habits and tendencies to look out for like reactivity to smaller dogs, any allergies, and who your usual vet is in case any emergencies arise.
A typical day
The day starts with a morning walk and breakfast. Throughout the day, I’ll take short breaks from work for little walks or play sessions as well as potty breaks. In the evening we will walk to a nearby park for some fun and stimulation before settling in for the night.

I specialize in walking and watching out for big senior dogs. I also have experience working with a wide variety of breeds, personalities and ages of dogs as a volunteer and foster with Oakland Animal Services and Milo Foundation. This includes working with deaf dogs.

Melissa did a great job taking care of our 14yo little Morkie doggie. She did walks and fed her and did a great job cleaning up after messes. Great communication.
Melissa is amazing with our cats! They need medication and are finicky about food and eating. She was able to work with the most difficult kitty Ande’s get her to eat and take her meds, even though it takes a lot of adjusting! Your special fur babies are in excellent hands with Melissa!
