I care for pets in the clients home by making sure I know everything that needs to be done while I’m taking care of them. I make sure the families tell me any important information I may need to know. When coming into their house I approach their animals slowly and allow them to become comfortable with me so they feel safe as well.

I will speak to the owners and ask them if there’s anything important I need to know about their pets before taking care of them. I will also schedule a time to meet with the families and their pets a head of time so their pets can feel comfortable with me coming to watch them while their owners are away.
A typical day
If I am watching a dog I will certainly take them on long walks, if the family has a fenced in backyard I will play fetch with them as well to ensure they get plenty of exercise. If I am watching a cat I will provide plenty of indoor play time with their favorite toys to allow them plenty of exercise as well.

Pet care experience
I love all animals and will provide excellent care for your furry friends. I was blessed to have our family dog for 16 1/2 years and always made sure he was well taking care of. I now have my own cat and also help take care of my brother’s dog. I also have years of experience with taking care of other dogs and cats as well, which includes feeding, walking and playing with them everyday. I am a very caring and loving person. I am a teacher so I will have the summers open to help take care of your furry friends. I love petting/playing with dogs, cats and taking dogs for a walk. I look at all animals as a part of someone’s family, they are more than just a pet they are a loving family member. Your animals will be treated with the best care as if they were my own pet. Melissa indeed loves all types of animals. She had a dog for 16 1/2 years who she absolutely adored . Scooter was not only a part of her family but he was her best friend. Melissa has a lot of experience when it comes to caring for dogs. She has dog sat many neighbors dogs, takes friends/families dogs for walks and also does drop in visits in the case that someone is running late from work. Melissa is compassionate, loving and she will take care of your dog as if it was her own. Your dogs will be in outstanding hands when Melissa is caring for them!
I’ve known Melissa for 5 years and during those years have come to find out she is an avid dog lover. She was the very best owner to her dog Scooter, especially in his older years before he passed away. She is very caring, compassionate, and responsible when it comes to animals.
