I work from home, but do occasionally run my kids to activities or run errands. If your dog is okay to be left for short trips, they will be a perfect fit for us.

I don’t have a big yard, but we are in a quiet, family friendly area and look forward to taking your dog on lots of walks around the neighborhood. I have two animal loving 13 year-old teens that find so much joy in meeting new pets. I have great energy for dogs and have read dog training books from Cesar Millan (actually met him several years back) and I used to watch his show reguarly. If your dog isn't great on a leash, I'm good at making sure dogs behave on their walks. Otherwise they are welcome to explore all the different sights and smells that we pass along the way. I don’t currently have a crate, but if this is what your dog is used to, we have the space for you to bring your own. If your dog is shy, needs extra attention and care, is full of energy or just likes to cuddle, we've got you covered! We've met and cared for all types and truly love having new pets in our home.

Please let me know a little bit about your dog ahead of time. Calm, average or extremely hyper energy? Do they have any illnesses? Are they fully potty trained? I just want to make sure I have all of the info to give your pets the best care. After you book, we want to follow your rules that are set in place, so let us know if your dogs are allowed on the furniture and if they have any specific instructions for their care.
A typical day
I will definitely go on walks with and without my kids, but my kids will pet and love your dogs every moment they are able. We have a closed area where we sometimes toss the ball around outside, but most exercise is done exploring the neighborhood during our walks. Your dogs are welcome on the furniture or their own comfy bed if you have one to bring. When you have a no furniture rule, we abide by your rules. We are strict on only feeding your pets with the food you provide. If you have a cat, they will get to be lazy, look out at the view or cuddle with me and my kids.

I grew up with animals and our family loves dogs and cats! I enjoy getting my steps in, so will be happy to take your dog on walks and give them lots of love in our home. We also enjoy how silly, cuddly and moody cats can be. Both animals bring us lots of joy and would be happy to have your pets while you are away.

We were thankful to have Melissa and her family look after Bow for two weeks while we were away! They take such good care of him and we know he enjoys being there. Melissa was wonderful to work with - from our initial meet and greet, boarding drop-off and pick-up, and all the updates in between.
