Pet care experience

Gentle, Genuine, and Loving

I grew up with dogs and have had dogs, most of my adult life. They are our children, and I treat them as family members. I have had to care for all different types of health needs, especially for senior pets. I'm happy to help in whatever capacity to make their experience the least stressful as possible. I recently lost my last fur baby (I've had 4 over the last 23 year) and am not ready to get another generation, but really miss being around dogs. I work from home so I have a super flexible schedule. I have a huge fence in backyard and a very nice home. I'm not doing this for the money, but rather to be able to help other pet parents so that they don't have to pay an arm and a leg. And then I get some time with some furry ones. 🥰

Melissa and her husband were absolutely incredible. I’ve never been SO happy and comfortable with a sitter before. They loved my babies like their own and my babies love them!! Would highly recommend!!!

Melissa is a true “dog person.” She loves each fur baby as her own and cares for their well-being (emotionally and physically). She makes a connection with each dog through loving interaction; energetic playtime fun; and/or just hanging out, so your dog is able to relax and feel safe with someone they know loves and cares for them. I highly recommend Melissa as a caregiver for your dog for walks, overnights, feeding, or just relaxing with good company.

Calendar and availability

Schedule

I work remotely and have an extremely flexible schedule so I can easily take lots of breaks for playtimes, walks, meds, or anything else your furry one needs! I only allow one household's pets at a time. I feel this is super important because it helps ease the anxiety of being in a stranger's home. I can accommodate up to 2 dogs from one household.

Where your pet will stay

Home characteristics

Lives in a house
Has a fenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has no pets
No children present
Dogs allowed on bed
Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 0-2 hours

Safety, trust & environment

Your furry ones are allowed to walk around where they please, and are allowed on the furniture. I have a huge fenced in backyard where they are free to go to the bathroom and I'm also excited and happy to play with them outside. If they are up for it, I would be happy to take them on several walks a day. I am completely open to building the schedule they are used to!

A typical day

I can play with them with their babies or toys, go on lots of walks, take them on hikes, or just chill. I will defer to you on what they like to do!
