I like to know each pet’s personality, routines, and any special needs ahead of time — like dietary preferences, favorite activities, or quirks. It’s also helpful to know how they do on walks, around other animals, and if there’s anything that makes them nervous or uncomfortable. The more I know, the better I can care for them.
A typical day
A typical day includes plenty of walks, playtime, and affection. I love keeping pets active and engaged — whether that’s a stroll around the neighborhood, hanging out at the park, playing with their favorite toys or relaxing together for some calm company. I always match their energy and make sure they feel happy, safe, and loved.

Pet care experience
I’ve been caring for friends’ and family’s pets for many years, from in-home visits and daily walks to overnight stays with puppies, senior dogs, and cats. While I don’t currently have pets of my own (I’d love to if I had the space!), being on Rover gives me the chance to spend time with animals.

Meli puppy sat our 6 month old Frenchie (a big ask) and house sat for us for a week - and she was fantastic! From the start she was extremely professional (had a premade information template for us to fill out with a lot of great questions) and took time to come over and meet with us before her first stay. Through the week she was very communicative, reliable, trustworthy, and very friendly. We were able to truly enjoy our vacation away knowing she had everything handled at home. She texted us photos daily of our pup and took him on a lot of long walks. He looked super healthy and happy when we got home. Plus - our house was spotless when we returned. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Meli! We will definitely book her again in the future 😊
Melissa was an absolutely wonderful sitter. She was conscientious about sending us updates, took good care of our house and charmed our dog into loving her deeply (as we saw in many cuddling photos). Our baby was in great hands with Melissa and I will definitely work with her again!
We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. She took incredible care of our home and our puppy all week, and her communication was perfect—daily check-ins with photos and videos that really put us at ease while we were away. Winnie was relaxed, happy, and clearly loved, and we came home to a spotless house. Truly professional, thoughtful, and trustworthy. We’d book her again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend.
