🐾 I’m a passionate dog lover with 17 years of experience caring for furry friends of all shapes and sizes and have been on rover since it first began (8 years) With regular clients who have been returning for 8 years now I always assure I tailor my services to your dogs specific needs to ensure they feel as comfortable as possible in their home away from home. Whether your pup needs a playful walk, some cuddle time, or a fun adventure, I’m here to provide the love and attention they deserve. I live on the bottom floor of a 3 plex in a lovely spacious 5 & 1/2 located in Lachine. We have 2 beautiful children so your fur baby must be okay with kids! I have a French bulldog named Gunner and a mutt / mix named Grizzly who are both old lazy men these days. They suck at meet and greets as they like to bark and get overly excited when meeting new people but that’s a bad example of their characters as they sleep all day 😅. I have a big back yard and lots of love to give your pets as this is my full-time job unlike others I get to offer pets 24/7 care for your babies. Your pups will never be alone for more than 2 hours. I can cut your dogs nails as well if needed, I like to go for runs everyday. Each dog gets a minimum of 2 walks a day unless I am asked otherwise and have access to the yard as they please. I am used to giving medication and dealing with anxiety filled pups! I will send you daily pictures and videos of your fur baby and do whatever I can to assure even the most nervous fur parents of their babies well being ❤️ Feel free to message me at anytime, I will get back to you as soon as possible! LAST MINUTE DROP OFFS ARE OKAY! don't feel shy to ask! The only thing I ask is that you are HONEST with me about your dog and their habits... preparing for a dog who isn't 100% house broken or has destructive tendencies is okay with me but being lied to about it is never fun! I am very patient with all pups as long as I am told their bad habits in advance, this includes escape artists! Anything can happen in the blink of an eye when it comes to dogs but being aware makes it easier to prepare myself for their stay and make it the best / safest one I can ! Dog sitting for eight years now I have seen it all! Here are some things we have done to prepare for all different characters: We have double doors in the front and back entrances so when one door opens the other should always be closed which helps a dog from escaping. We also have an extra gate to put if the dog is an extra sneaky escape artist! Our backyard also has two fenced areas. One smaller area with artificial grass where the dogs can go and play or just use the washroom quickly. Then when I am outside with them to play they have access to the entire yard, which is a lot more room to run around. The double fenced area is great for stopping escape artists from getting out and keeps the dogs from getting gross and dirty with poor weather conditions. 24/7 surveillance : we have multiple FURBO cameras in the home, the cameras record everything and send notifications to our phone when we are away of anything your pup might be up to. We have AirTag collars for walks. Snuffle Mats and brain enhancing games for the pups who need more stimulation than others. I make home made vegan treats and throw puppy birthday parties so please let me know if it’s your pups birthday 🥳 ❤️ I have crates of all sizes if ever they’re needed in our basement I can always bring them up so you don’t have to lug over your own. This is ONLY if it’s requested. I can’t wait to meet you and your fur baby. Let’s make sure your dog has a tail-wagging good time! 🐶❤️

My puppy Nelly stayed with Melissa for 8 days. Nelly had the best time, she didn’t even want to leave at pick up! Melissa is very attentive to our little baby’s needs and we are so grateful to have a safe space for when we need to go out of town. We know Nelly is in good hands with Melissa :)

Melissa is very sweet. Due to phone issues, communication was a bit tricky at times, but no fault of hers. She sent us photos when she could, and updates via texts. Our bordoodle Belle seemed to settle in nicely in her warm environment. I would definitely recommend Melissa 😀
The experience with Melissa was wonderful. She made me fell secure . Shiva felt safe and happy instantly. She gave me some news of the adaptation in the first hours . And Shiva was like at home . Melissa went above and beyond for Rex and Princess, and I cannot thank her enough. She even came to the airport to help us transport them to her home after their long journey from Europe. After more than 20 hours of travel in kennels, the dogs were exhausted and had upset stomachs, but Melissa took incredible care of them from the moment they arrived. She cooked special meals for them, made sure they were comfortable, and gave them all the love, patience, and attention they deserved. Rex and Princess had been through a huge transition, and having someone as caring as Melissa during those first days in Canada made all the difference. It was obvious how much she loved them, and they loved her right back. They were constantly giving her kisses and seeking affection from her. Melissa kept us updated with photos and videos, which meant so much to us and gave us peace of mind knowing they were safe and happy. These dogs came all the way from Europe, and their first experience after such a difficult journey was one filled with kindness, comfort, and love thanks to Melissa. We are incredibly grateful for everything she did for them and would recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for an exceptional pet caregiver. Melissa is knowledgeable, friendly and an excellent care taker. I was comfortable with her, as was Vega, from the start, and she instilled confidence that my puppy would be in good hands. Drop off and pick up were both a breeze, and Vega was completely tired out from her stimulating time. Thank you!

Schedule
I am currently in school to become a certified dog trainer in which I will be able to offer these services soon. I am very active so we take multiple walks a day.

I have a fenced yard and two friendly pups to keep your fur baby entertained. I can easily crate your dog if needed and I also provide the cage 🥰 pups are gated off in our separate rooms when we leave if needed with music playing so they feel safe and not alone.

A typical day
Fetch in the yard, plenty of toys around the house, two walks a day and access to the yard as they please! I also have many snuffle mats and games for the pups to play when they need extra stimulation.
