She is observant to any of my pets changes in behaviors whether it is activity, eating or bathroom habits. She has had years of experience owning, loving, and caring for her own pets as well as from employment positions she has held. I have always felt more than comfortable having her care for my pets when I travel. The fact that my pets aren’t staying in a boarding situation among multiple other dogs or cats and kept in a cage is a big plus. I’m happy to wholeheartedly recommend Melissa as a pet sitter and house sitter. She has cared for my home and my two dogs multiple times, and I’ve always felt completely at ease knowing they were in such capable and loving hands. One of my dogs is elderly and requires daily medication and extra patience. She was incredibly attentive to her needs, making sure medications were given correctly and on time, while also taking the time to play with her, comfort her, and give her plenty of love. It was clear my dogs felt safe and cared for, not just watched. She is responsible, trustworthy, and an excellent communicator. While I was away, she regularly updated me on how the dogs were doing, sent pictures, and checked in about anything related to the house. If an issue came up, she handled it calmly and was able to troubleshoot independently, keeping me informed every step of the way.
