**PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING** Hi there! My name is Melissa. I have been caring for dogs since I was 10 years old. Some people call me the dog whisperer but I'm not here to brag ;) A little About Me… My dog Daisy is the love of my life so I completely understand how scary it can be leaving your precious fur babies with a stranger. My hope is to make sure that both dogs and owners are comfortable and happy with allowing me to take care of their pets while they are busy or away. Which is why I always meet pet parents before booking with me. I have owned and cared for puppies, adult and senior dogs. I treat all dogs as if they were my own. I promise, I will love and care for your pet with patience and compassion.

We went away for nearly a week and wanted someone to stay at our house since we have two large senior dogs and didn’t want to put them through the stress of boarding elsewhere. Melissa did a great job for us. She came before our trip for a meet and greet and for us to answer any questions she might have. While away the communication and updates were great. Upon arriving home the dogs were happy and the house was left exactly as we left it. We highly recommend Melissa and plan on using her again in the future.
Melissa is a very caring, trustworthy and reliable person which is why I think she would be the perfect fit for any position with Rover. I have seen the way Melissa interacts with animals and it is amazing! I always tell her that her dog Daisy is very well trained and behaved. Melissa loves Daisy more than anything! I have been to Melissa’s house and have gone on walks with her and Daisy. She has offered many times to look after my cat while I was out of town. Melissa treats all animals like they are her own. Mel has been been around dogs her entire life and is a very loving and capable dog owner. I would absolutely trust her as a dog walker
My sister Melissa is incredible with animals. We grew up with pets of all shapes and sizes: Guinea pigs, birds, and of course dogs! She was even the favourite of our temperamental miniature American Eskimo Casper. Melissa now has a beautiful lab-collie cross named Daisy who she takes exceptional care of. Daisy is one of the smartest, most gentle, and lovable dogs I know. She will even stand up to give you a kiss or a hug if you ask her! Melissa is a wonderful dog person and when my wife and I get one she will be my first call to dog sit or check in on them.

Schedule
I can walk dogs and check in on pets multiple times a day. I’m a student but doing all my schooling online so my schedule is very flexible.

- In order to give your pet the best experience I'd love to know as much about them ahead of time as possible. If you choose to let me take care of your dog(s) please let me know the following before booking: 1. List of specific Commands or Mannerisms 2. Are your pets comfortable in vehicles and going for car rides? 3. Can they go to dog parks or play well with other dogs? 4. How long of a walk do they usually get (short around the block or long hikes, etc) 5. What is their feeding routine? (food prep, quantity, and how often, etc) 6. Are there any neighbour dogs that are not friendly? 7. Do they have any fears or separation anxieties? 8. Who do I call in an emergency? 9. Where do they sleep? 10. Do they have any health concerns or medication? 11. Where do they go potty and how often? 12. Are they allowed on beds and furniture? 13. Are they good with kids? 14. Does your doggo stay in a crate when you're out of the house? 15. Does your pup have any allergies? 16. Does your dog have any past traumas or triggers? 17. Is your pet comfortable with touch, pets, cuddles, etc? AND any other information you may find important.
