I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind since I was 10. I used to have a sweet girl named Susie who filled my heart with love and taught me so much about patience, responsibility, and compassion. After she passed away three years ago, I’ve continued caring for pets belonging to neighbors, friends, and family whenever they go out of town. Whether it’s walking, feeding, bathing, or giving extra cuddles, I treat every pet like they’re my own. I’m dependable, attentive, and make sure pets feel comfortable, loved, and safe while their owners are away. From energetic puppies to calm senior dogs, I’m experienced in adapting to each pet’s unique personality and needs. I do have a puppy named cocoa as of December 2025. She is the light of our lives!! We love her so much.

Melissa was extremely good with both Ginny and Grady. She was very responsive and made sure they had everything they needed to be comfortable and happy. We would love to have her back next time we need a sitter.

Melissa was outstanding! She was willing to take on our small dog within a week’s notice, and was warm and welcoming, in-tuned with what our dog needed, and very communicative with us. We had to move up our end time due to changes in our end, and Melissa was very accommodative to have us pick up our dog a day early. I can’t say enough about how fantastic she was. We strongly recommend Melissa!

Schedule
I work from home three days a week and go into the office twice, so I have a very flexible schedule! On my work-from-home days, I’m available all day to give your pup plenty of love, walks, and attention. Even on my office days, I can still accommodate morning, evening, and overnight visits as needed.

Your pet will always be in a safe, supervised environment where they can feel right at home. I’m attentive, caring, and but most importantly will love your fur babies like they’re my own. I can also easily crate your dog if needed or follow any specific routines you prefer.
A typical day
I love to keep dogs active and happy throughout the day! We’ll start with a nice walk and some playtime to get their energy out. I enjoy exploring the neighborhood or visiting a nearby park for fresh air and new smells. Indoors, we’ll play games, practice commands, and of course have cuddle breaks and plenty of love!
