I've been caring for animals my entire life and have experience with pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. As a lifelong cat and dog owner, I know how important it is to find someone you trust to care for your pets while you're away. I've cared for cats ranging from extremely shy to a little "spicy," and I enjoy taking the time to earn each pet's trust while keeping them comfortable in their normal routine. I also have experience caring for dogs of all sizes and love going on walks, playing, and making sure they get plenty of attention and exercise. In addition to caring for my own pets and pet sitting for others, I've volunteered with the Humane Society, where I helped care for adoptable cats, and at an exotic bird sanctuary, giving me experience with a wide variety of animals. I'm currently a graduate student at The University of Texas, so I'm dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to following your pet's care instructions exactly. Whether your pet is outgoing or reserved, I'll treat them with the same patience, kindness, and care that I would my own, and I'll always keep you updated with photos and messages while you're away.

I know inviting someone into your home and trusting them with your pets is a big decision, and I don't take that responsibility lightly. I'll follow your care instructions carefully, respect your home, and make sure your pet stays safe, comfortable, and on their normal routine. I'll also keep you updated with photos and messages after every visit so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands.

Melissa was amazing! She was incredibly attentive and took wonderful care of my cats. One of my cats had recently started medication, and she administered it without any issues. She also sent plenty of photos and regular updates, which gave me such peace of mind. I would definitely recommend her!
Melissa did a spectacular job taking care of my cat Badger. She sent updates each time she checked on him and followed instructions! He's got some separation anxiety and can sometimes bite if he's overstimulated, so I usually recommend that pet sitters keep their visits brief just to mimize opportunities for biting. Melissa wasn't scared off by this and offered to hang out with him and offer pets and cuddles if he seemed interested. Badger seemed more relaxed than usual when I got back from my trip than he has been in the past, so I think her efforts to spend some quality time with him helped him freak out a bit less. She did a great job and I will gladly rely on her again in the future!
Melissa was a fantastic cat sitter, even for our very shy and skittish cat. She took the time to come over beforehand and familiarize herself with our apartment and cat. She did a great job with all of our instructions and checked in with us via text which was very reassuring. Melissa was always responsible and patient which is great when you have an anxious or skittish cat. Would absolutely have her pet sit for us and recommend her to anyone in the area!

Schedule
As a graduate student at UT, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide reliable pet care throughout the week. I do my best to accommodate your pet's normal routine, whether that's morning, afternoon, evening, or weekend visits. I'll never rush through a visit and always make time for play, enrichment, cuddles (if they want them!), and plenty of photo updates.
