Pet care is a part of my everyday & night routine with my dog, Zippy (see Safety, Trust & Environment section for details). I am currently without a job, so my availability is wide open to also spend quality time w/your pup/s. ***I will not be available for dog walking or drop-ins every Sunday from 6-11 AM. Unfortunately, Rover’s calendar will not allow me to adjust***

My daily routine with my dog, Zippy. Wake up early AM (well before the heat hits) and go for a long walk around my VERY large apartment complex. Treats/Feed —> Play inside with toys —> Zippy nap time —> Potty/Walk —> Repeat. Weather permitting, I also take Zippy to the Paradise Valley Dog Park and weekly playdates with family/friend dogs. I am more than happy to do my above routine or adapt to whatever schedule your pup/s are on. Zippy is flexible. LOL :) ***I will not be available for dog walking or drop-ins every Sunday from 6-11 AM. Unfortunately, Rover’s calendar will not allow me to adjust***

A typical day
As stated above, I will take your pup/s on long walks, play with toys, throw a ball, go to the dog park, hikes (weather permitting, owner approved) and any other doggy field trips that the owner requests. ***I will not be available for dog walking or drop-ins every Sunday from 6-11 AM. Unfortunately, Rover’s calendar will not allow me to adjust***

Since I was 4 years old, dogs have always been a part of my life. I LOVE DOGS more than anything in this entire world!!! I have done everything from dog walking to dog sitting (15+ years experience) and am also a dog owner. I do not have professional dog training experience, but have trained my dogs to do tricks, become potty trained and play appropriately with other dogs. Here is some information about my dog…I have a 2 year old sweet, affectionate, loving, non-shedding Cairn/Silky Terrier mix named Zippy. ***IMPORTANT*** He will need to accompany me while dog sitting at your home and I am more than happy to setup a meet and greet with your dog/s before starting the job. If preferred, I can definitely leave him at home while walking, feeding, playing and/or hanging for a few hours with your dog/s. A little about me…I moved back to AZ in 2024 to be close in proximity to my family (also lived here from 1993-1998). Prior to that, I lived in Denver, CO for 17 years and am originally from Chicago. I currently live in north Scottsdale with Zippy. I am a very mature, responsible, considerate, kind and respectful person. I have plenty of work experience and am in good health. I have very positive, past written/emailed references for dog sitting, at home childcare, etc. My family, friends and past employers can attest to my loyalty and hard work. PERKS :)…While dog sitting at your home, I will also water plants, collect mail and keep the house spotless. I have a reliable vehicle to transport your dog/s to a dog park, play date, etc. and most importantly, arrive on time to my job duty. :) I just recently (voluntarily) left a full time job in healthcare, so my current availability is wide open. CONSIDER ME YOUR GO TO PERSON WHEN NEEDING A LONG TERM SITTER, WALKER, FEEDER OR TRANSPORTER (and anything else you may need)! I am extremely impressed with Melissa. She followed instructions to a tee and went above and beyond to ensure everything was clean and presentable when I returned from my travel. My dog seemed to really like her and as an only pup, I think she really enjoyed the company of her dog, Zippy as well. Highly recommend Melissa and Zippy!

Melissa was absolutely wonderful with our dogs! She walked my Siberian Husky and our Border Collie puppy for four days, and I couldn’t be happier with the care she provided. Both of our pups absolutely adore her, which says a lot—especially with a high-energy puppy in the mix. Melissa was reliable, attentive, and clearly has a natural connection with animals. It gave me real peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. I came home to two happy, well-cared-for dogs every day. We will definitely be using Melissa for all of our fur babies’ needs going forward. Highly recommend!
