We ask that the dog be non-aggressive and completely housebroken. We cannot accept dogs who have frequent accidents. I love all dogs, but due to a negative experience my husband had as a child, my husband is uncomfortable with pit bulls and has asked that I not sit for one. I must respect his wishes and unfortunately I will not be able to take a dog that is any mix of pitbull. Thank you for your understanding

Here's where we'll take our walks We live in a beautiful suburb with quiet streets, very little traffic, lovely parks and a nearby dog park. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Anywhere he wants to. Time I'll spend with your dog I am a stay at home Mom and I am with your dog all day, every day.

I am a pet sitter and watch animals in my home. I sit for many lovely families in this area. We have cared for every kind of pet that you could imagine including dogs, birds, lizards, frogs and small fuzzy friends. I am a stay at home Mom who works from home and can provide your pet with constant attention and lots of belly rubs. We live on a quiet street with a large fenced in back yard.I support several dog rescues and animal shelters and I am a former docent with Lincoln Park zoo in Chicago. Your dog will be safe, happy and loved while you enjoy a worry-free vacation! We can send you updates via text message or email. This is a private home and we do not believe in crating dogs unless you feel it is necessary and provide your own crate. Otherwise your dog has the run of the house, just like in his own home. Your dog is welcome on the furniture and may sleep wherever they wish, with us, etc. We try to only book one to two dogs at a time. Daily walks included. All dogs must be housebroken (potty trained) and non-aggressive. If your dog requires medication, I am skilled at administering them. I am also trained in canine CPR as well as a canine first aid course. Due to the virus and a member of my family who is immunocompromised, I will not be holding meet and greets in my home, I am more than happy to chat with you outside. I can send you interior photos of my home, if you wish. Drop off and pick up, is between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. There are no drop offs or pickups on holidays, it would need to be the day before or after. Unfortunately we cannot accept dogs who chew furniture, have frequent accidents, wear diapers, or dogs that have separation anxiety. Thank you in advance,

My dog is scared of just about everything - and everyone - so leaving her with someone new made me nervous. On top of being scared of her shadow, she's a one-year-old pup... she has some endless energy! I felt at ease as I received updates and pictures throughout the stay and felt like my pup was in good hands. During a tornado warning, Melissa went above and beyond. My dog is terrified of stairs, and her family actually carried her down the stairs to the basement to keep her safe with them. Most importantly, my dog came home happy. I'm grateful for the care, patience, and kindness Melissa (and family) showed my girl. I would book with her again :-)
This was our first time using a dog sitter and it went really well! We were traveling and wanted to make sure our two dogs had great care and attention. Melissa made the experience very smooth and easy, and it was obvious that she cares and provides lots of love. Both of our dogs did well with her and her family, and Melissa sent photos and daily updates to put our minds at ease. We highly recommend her services, and look forward to the next time we need her help!
Melissa took great care of our dogs and updated us every day during the stay. She is very easy to communicate with and you can tell our dogs had a great stay
We’ve hired Melissa twice to board our dog, Bella, and we know that Bella is loved and well taken care of while we are away. Melissa is proactive about sending pictures and updates which is much appreciated. She will be the first person we contact the next time we need a sitter!
