I can come to your home for pet sitting and/or dog walking services. When I walk with a dog, they are always on leash. When I watch your pets, I am here to attend to their needs and your requests. I am very attuned to animals’ needs and how they communicate. I love to curl up on the couch and snuggle your fur baby if that’s what they want. I’m also just as happy to get on the floor to play with your pet, whether that’s with their toys, laser pointer, etc.

It is important for me to understand the temperament of your dog before sitting him or her, so please bring them to our interview. All breeds, including pit bulls are welcome, but due to mine and your pet’s safety, large dogs must be leash trained.
A typical day
Our walk route will vary depending on where you live, but I enjoy nature and getting off of the road so I aim for trails and parks! There is a local preserve near me with beautiful walking trails, and it’s usually not very busy. If your dog is up for it, I play a mean game of fetch. I also live for cuddles if your fur baby is more of a lover!

I have been pet sitting for friends/neighbors since I was 12 years old. I grew up on a farm & raised dogs and kittens. This naturally led to a love of animals-- my first job was at a vet hospital where I stayed for several years & trained to become a vet tech. In this role, I also house & pet sat for clients. Please let your pets keep me company! I have plenty of time on my hands for pet sitting & dog walking. I am a dog mom to a tenderhearted 9 year old golden cocker, and 8 year old orange tabby. I am trained in medication administration (oral and subcutaneous) and first aid. At this time I am unable to host your pet in my home. But I can do daytime drop in visits and walks at your home. I cannot do overnight at this time. Local requests only please.

We LOVED Melissa for our puppy Darcee! She not only came to watch her so last minute but was so gentle and loving to her! She always sent update pictures and kept me in loop while I was at work and was on time and just the sweetest! Will most definitely be using her again when we need someone to watch our little one!
Melissa was an absolutely awesome dog walker and she was great with our new puppy Peaches. She taught Peaches leash manners and dog park manners. The photos that she sent throughout the visit were the highlight of my day. It’s hard to trust your puppy with someone but I absolutely trusted Melissa. She is very experienced
