🐾 Hi, my name is Mel. I'm a 20 year old university student studying life sciences with the goal of working with wildlife and conservation. My friends would describe me as a patient, open minded individual with a love for learning. 🐾 I have grown up with animals my whole life and have a good amount of experience handling pets of different kinds. Both my parents have a master's degree in agriculture and have inspired my deep love for science and the natural world.

🐶🐰 Your pets will be loved and cared for as if they were my own. Animals are brilliant creatures and can recognize different people as well as develop different relationships with them. For the best possible experience, I would like to socialize with your pet and learn about them for one or two visits before I care for them on my own. For dog walks, please provide litter bags as well as the leash your dog is most comfortable with. If they have any favourite treats or toys, bring those too! For small animal/reptile boarding, please bring their enclosure and food as well as bedding if it is a long stay. For home visits I would feel most comfortable visiting you and your pet in your own home so that I can get familiarized with the area as well as your pet. ⚠️ Please note that I am not comfortable handling your pet if they are overly aggressive. Shy/timid animals are perfectly fine. We hired Mel for house-sitting and walk for my dog for 3 visits. She was late for the initial meet & greet as well as late for the 2 consecutive appointments. It was decided that she would walk my dog for 35-40 mins but she went only for short walk. Cancelled the last appointment because of “rain” despite being offered Uber to & from my home. Also, offered her to just visit the home so that my dog could be taken care of and not go out for walk since it was raining but even declined that. Very unreliable. Would not engage her service again and would not recommend her.
Thanks a ton, Melissa for taking care of our family member when we were away. We felt very comfortable and relaxed leaving juju in your hands. You definitely are an amazing find and we are very much content in your professionalism. I'm happy that you have established a very strong bond with her now and that takes a lot of stress of our shoulders for future short visits. We highly recommend your companionship for every other fur babies.

Mel was very good at communicating and keeping me up to date with what’s happening with the pets. When something unavoidable came up and she couldn’t make it, she let me know, and refunded me immediately. I appreciated very much that she was able to make time for my pets during the Thanksgiving weekend.
Felt like my pets were in safe hands. Melisa was very thorough, always asking if she had any questions. She went above and beyond. even brushed my dog, Yoshi, because he was shedding.
We’ve had the pleasure of having Melisa take care of our cats on multiple occasions, and we couldn’t be happier with her services. She is always punctual, spends quality time with our cats, makes sure they are well-fed, comfortable, and engaged, and even plays with them to keep them happy. What we truly appreciate is her consistency in sending us daily updates, which gives us peace of mind whenever we’re away. She is very flexible with her schedule, quick to respond, and always reliable when it comes to bookings. It’s clear that she genuinely cares about our pets, and that makes all the difference. ⏰ --UNIVERSITY SCHEDULE NOW IN PLACE, CONTACT FOR DETAILS-- MONDAYS: BUSY from 12pm-4pm TUESDAYS: BUSY WEDNESDAYS: FREE THURSDAYS: BUSY from 1pm-5pm FRIDAYS: BUSY from 10am-12pm SATURDAY & SUNDAY: FREE Any time that aside from the above mentioned class times can be assumed to be free time for me. "BUSY" means I am in person attending a class. For any clarification or a digital copy of my full schedule, please talk to me. I'd be more than happy to work things out with you. If any events aside from classes come up I will let you know as soon as I can. Another important note: As a young student, my primary method of transportation is the TTC. To avoid delays, I'd prefer if your location is within 10-12km of the Cedarbrae/Woburn Area. For visits that are outside the area range, please make sure that you let me know at least a day in advance so I can plan my trip accordingly.
