Reliable and Dog-Loving family!
I've had a dog as long as I can remember and will be the first to watch my friends and familys' dogs too. We lost our 15 year old havanese after his health took a turn for the worst a few years ago now. We will miss him dearly, but would love to care for your pet just like we did for him while you can't. I have quite a bit of carpet in the house,so will only keep dogs that are house trained. I also have a 11 year old son, so they need to be kid-friendly.

Melinda did a great job with our Dog Stella!! She sent us daily photos and updates, was flexible on drop off and pickup time, and left us with a very happy and tired pup!
Mindy takes great care of Maya and keeps us well informed with photos and videos. And I love the fact that she only has one dog at a time.
Melinda took great care of my dogs and was super communicative, I felt very at ease they were in good hands!
Maya loves Mindy! She treats Maya as if she is part of the family. We get photos and Maya gets lots of love.

Schedule
I work from home and have quite a bit of flexibility to walk and keep your fur baby company. I pick my son up from school, so they will be left alone for 30 minutes or less. I can crate during that time if needed. Overall, I'm pretty flexible.

Safety, trust & environment
We do not have a fenced in yard, but we have a 50 ft tie off cable that is connected to our concrete steps. It is secure enough for dogs up to 50 pounds and gives them enough room to run and play in our yard and the common ground behind our house while still being safe. I also am used to staying outside while they are doing their business since our dog would never go outside unless someone is outside with him. Your fur baby will never be unattended while outdoors. We do often see deer behind our house,but they are never aggressive and even go running when our havanese used to bark at them. We did not crate our dog so we are used to having un-crated dog around the house. However,we do have a medium size crate available to use if needed.Our house is one level and there is only one step to get in and out of the house, which really helps for older dogs. I prefer small to medium size petsI understand that all dogs bark on occasion, but we will not keep dogs that bark constantly.
A typical day
I have a ton of toys for your fur baby to play with, but they can bring their own as well if they have something special. My son loves to play fetch and can keep them active as well, but we prefer dogs with low to mid energy levels. I work from home so I will be around,but not available to give personalized attention all day long. Our neighborhood is very walkable and I don't mind taking walks when the weather is nice.
