Welcome! I'm Melinda, a longtime dog mom, and sitter who treats every guest like family. I currently share my home with Louis and Leo and Mabel (cat). Louis is older now and prefers a calm environment; he does great with dogs who respect his space but can get grumpy with high-energy pups who crowd him. Because of that, I'm currently only taking dogs under 30lbs with low-to-moderate energy. I work from home, so someone is here most of the time. Your dog will have full access to the main floor (furniture included) and plenty of cozy spots to relax. Upstairs stays gated when we're all downstairs, for safety and routine. Hardwoods throughout both floors. Meet & Greet required. A free 20–25 minute Meet & Greet before booking lets your dog explore the space, meet Louis, Leo and Mabel, and make sure everyone's comfortable. Have a cat-shy pup? My cat Mabel is gentle and well-socialized. I’m happy to do a free 4 hour trial to check the match. Boarding details: I can host up to two dogs overnight depending on temperament and length of stay. Repeat clients — if my calendar looks full, message me anyway; I'll try to make it work. Questions? Just send a message. I'd love to care for your pup while you're away.

We've been really apprehensive about leaving our puppy with someone and have reduced our travel and social life significantly since rescuing him. He also has terrible separation anxiety from us! So it was fantastic to find Melinda. We knew almost immediately that we could trust her to take care of Charlie. It was easy to see that she loved having other dogs join her family which includes 2 dogs of her own. Her home is set up nicely for them to have fun, but was also clean and welcoming for even the pickiest human. Melinda took great pictures and send us regular messages about Charlie's activities and routine.
Melinda and her family are awesome! I was nervous leaving my pup as it was the first time I have had to leave him. I chose Melinda for two reasons: my dog groomer recommended her, and my dog loved her and seemed completely at home during our meet and greet. Melinda texted me and sent photos every day and took great care of the doggie mommy as well as the ‘furbaby’! I could tell that Dix loved his stay, and I will not hesitate to leave my boy again with Melinda.

Schedule
Being at home the majority of the day your dog will have plenty of walk time and cuddles. Our 1 year old cat Mabel may even initiate some play time.

Safety, trust & environment
Fenced yard; they are allowed on furniture unless your preference is to keep them off. Plenty of toys and extra bowls. Harness will need to come with them.

A typical day
We have a park that is within walking distance, it is about 1 1/4 mile from my house around the park. We will play tug of war, fetch and chase with multiple walks per day and plenty of hugs and kisses!
