Safe, Intuitive, Capable Dog Care
I've had dogs all of my adult life, both large and small, and have loved each with all my heart. I've worked in a veterinary hospital as well. I am intuitive with and attentive to all animals and am highly sensitive to their needs. As all of my dogs have lived to a very old age, I'm delighted by puppies, but also experienced, loving and patient with older dogs. I work from home, so am able to provide my guests with constant companionship and lots of long walks! As for how you can help me help you - please be sure that all of your pup's vaccines are current and let me know of any behavior issues ahead of time. This will allow me to assess how best to relate and assist with them. My overnight board rate is per 24 hours and day stay rate is per 8-10 hours. If you anticipate that you'll require further time, please discuss this with me ahead of time. I'm happy to be flexible and work within your time constraints, but may require additional payment in circumstances involving lengthy delays in pup retrieval. If your desired drop off time is before 7:30 am, please plan to drop your pup off the evening before to ensure that we have time for a safe and well thought out hand off of responsibility for your pet. Senior Dogs I will increase the daily boarding rate for very senior dogs who require special attention. I will be happy to discuss any adjustment once I've had an opportunity to meet with pets and their owners. Puppies Rover defines a puppy as any dog under a year old. I define a puppy as any young dog who isn't yet house trained and so requires frequent bathroom breaks and monitoring for puppy behaviour. If I find your young dog doesn't require a tremendous amount of extra effort, I'm happy to adjust down to the adult dog rate. Please feel free to discuss this with me.

Melinda takes good care of her visitors. This was Nona’s first sleep away since our move and Melinda was patient and understanding of Nona’s anxiety.
Melinda was just absolutely wonderful. I was very nervous about having someone watch our 14 year old dog who usually doesn’t do well with other dogs but immediately after meeting Melinda I knew she would be in great hands. Melinda is very professional and experienced and we hope to use her more in the near future
Melinda was so great with Luna & I had no worries in leaving her there. She got some great walks and Melinda even helped me out with an excellent tip on walking with Luna. She is both knowledgeable and caring!
Winnie had another great time with Melinda. She had some great walks and cuddles. Don't hesitate to use Melinda for dog sitting. She's especially conscientious and caring.
Melinda was so great with Pepper! She kept us well informed on his stay and sent photos and videos
