I bring over two decades of hands-on experience caring for a wide range of animals — from birds to horses. At home, I share my life with three rescued dogs and a tortoise, and I treat every pet as part of the family. When animals stay with me, they’re welcomed with the same love and attention I give my own. I also have a college-aged child at home who shares my deep love for animals and helps out regularly. Our home is pet-friendly and includes a doggie door for easy outdoor access. Professionally, I spent eight years working with one of the most trusted pet-sitting companies in the East Valley until the business was sold. I’ve provided countless in-home visits and have extensive experience with dog walking — confidently handling dogs of all sizes, from tiny 3-pound Chihuahuas to 140-pound Mastiffs. Over the past 25 years, I’ve fostered numerous dogs, rescued many animals, and helped reunite lost pets with their families. I also founded a greyhound rescue in Florida, through which I helped save hundreds of lives.

Melinda was great for our dog, and she was very flexible when we had a family emergency during his stay. I would highly recommend Melinda, as she doesn't just watch your pet, but takes care of them very well. Our dog was kept engaged each day with playtime and exercise, as well as updates on how he was adjusting during his stay. Schedule
I currently work from 7 to 4 during the week. My 23 year old daugter helps with taking any boarders we have out during the day.

Safety, trust & environment
Pets in my home are allowed to play in the backyard with my dogs if everyone gets along. They get snuggle time on the couch if they are allowed up there and are also welcome to sleep on our beds at night with us.

A typical day
I take them out in the backyard for playtime and walk them if requested. I enforce the training that they already know and can work on some new training as well. I offer additional dog discounts.
