Veterinary Student
I am a current veterinary student who obviously loves all types of animals. I have had dogs and cats growing up and usually held the primary responsibility for them. I worked as a veterinary technician in both a small animal and equine hospital for many years. I have a very soft nature with a lot of patience that many animals find comforting. I have personally trained my dog and will happily work on any training, young or older!

While I am unable to bring your pets to my home, I can happily check in, walk and play with them as needed! I tend to be more of a helicopter pet parent (especially with my vet student mind) so your pets will be in the absolute best hands! I’m not afraid to reach out with questions and will happily keep you updated on how they are doing. When I am with your pet, they will have 100% of my attention. Their care, safety and comfortableness is my utmost importance when they are in my care and you can trust that will be met.

Melinda Bara is absolutely a loving and responsible caregiver. Not only is she currently studying for Veterinary Medicine in college, but since a young age has worked on a horse farm and small animal clinic, showing a sincere interest and love for animals , both small and large.
Melinda is referred to by many as “the animal whisperer”. She has owned a horse few others could manage and excelled with it, grew up with two Yorkies she took great care of, and presently owns an exceptionally well trained Corgi she has raised since just a few weeks old. Melinda has worked for several years as a vet tech treating dogs and is presently in her second year of veterinary school. She is dependable and responsible and has had such a lifelong love of animals decided to make caring for them her career and life goal.

Schedule
I can be pretty available during the weekdays, when I am not at class. Besides taking care of my own dogs and cat, I can available to your need!

- If your pet requires anything special during my time with them, please let me know! If your pet is a little more guarded and requires a very slow hand, let me know so I can go in prepared and not startle them. I will absolutely be patient with anyone that might need a minute to warm up and feel safe. If they need a careful eye in the backyard or need assistance getting around if they are older, just give me a heads up! I can read situations pretty well, but I want to make sure your pet is 100% comfortable with me from the get-go so anything that will help with that I will happily take advice. I don’t have any breed preferences and love all types!
