Paws and Relax!
Hi! We’re Melika and Melina, Irvine locals and lifelong animal lovers. We have two dogs of our own — Java, our 9-year-old Maltese Shih Tzu, and Nova, our 1-year-old Doberman and American Staffordshire Terrier mix. Having dogs with such different ages, sizes, and personalities has given us experience caring for everything from small senior dogs to young, energetic large breeds. Together, we have a flexible schedule that gives us plenty of time to dedicate to walks, drop-ins, and spending quality time with the pets in our care. We’re patient, attentive, and comfortable following detailed instructions, whether that means sticking to feeding schedules, following specific walking routes, giving extra attention to an older pet, or keeping up with a younger, more energetic pup. Having two of us also means more attention, supervision, and flexibility for your pet. We know every dog has their own personality and routine, and we want them to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they’re with us. We also have a large, fully fenced backyard with plenty of room to safely play and explore. Most importantly, we want your dog to feel like they’re having their own little vacation while you’re away — with lots of attention, affection, playtime, and a comfortable place to relax. We’d love to meet you and your pup! 🐾

Schedule
I currently have a flexible schedule, which gives me plenty of time to dedicate to the pets in my care. I’m available throughout the week for walks, drop-ins, daycare, and boarding. I love being active and spending time outdoors, so having a furry companion along makes it even better! I’m also happy to work around your pet’s usual routine so they can feel as comfortable and at home as possible.

Safety, trust & environment
Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my priority. I have a large, fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely play and get plenty of fresh air. I also have two dogs of my own, a small Maltese Shih Tzu and a Doberman, so I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all different sizes. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions regarding feeding, walks, medications, crate routines, and any special needs. I know every dog is different, so I do my best to maintain their normal routine and make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they’re in my care
Pets
A typical day
A typical day will depend on your dog’s personality and normal routine! We can go on walks around my neighborhood, play in my large fenced backyard, and have plenty of indoor playtime and cuddles. For more active dogs, I’m happy to provide extra exercise and playtime, while older or more relaxed dogs can enjoy a slower, cozy day. I want every dog to feel comfortable, entertained, and at home while they’re with me.
