Availability
I currently am a teacher off Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine! I am currently a special education teacher and off for summer break, so I have a very open and flexible schedule with plenty of availability throughout the day, evenings, and weekends. Because I have so much free time this summer, I’m able to give pets lots of attention, playtime, exercise, enrichment, and companionship rather than just quick check-ins. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, so caring for pets is something I look forward to being part of my daily routine. I’m also very active and love incorporating walks, play sessions, and enrichment activities into the day to keep pets happy, stimulated, and comfortable while their owners are away. My flexible schedule also allows me to easily accommodate feeding routines, medications, potty breaks, and individualized care needs.

When caring for pets in a client’s home, my goal is to make sure they feel as safe, comfortable, and relaxed as possible by maintaining their normal routine and giving them lots of love and attention while their family is away. I know how important consistency is for animals, especially anxious pets, so I make sure to carefully follow feeding schedules, walk routines, medication instructions, crate routines, and any household rules you have in place. I always try to keep their environment calm, structured, and stress-free. I also believe pets need more than just basic care — they deserve companionship, enrichment, and affection too! I love incorporating walks, playtime, puzzle toys, enrichment activities, and cuddle time based on each pet’s personality and energy level. Because I have experience with anxious and reactive dogs, I’m very patient and attentive to body language and comfort levels. I understand the importance of building trust and helping pets feel secure while their owners are away. As a special education teacher, patience, communication, and adaptability are second nature to me, and I bring that same calm, dependable energy into pet care. I will also provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident knowing your pets are happy, safe, and well cared for in their own home.

I have had dogs my entire life and caring for animals is truly something I love. I understand that every dog has a different personality, comfort level, and set of needs, and I pride myself on being patient, calm, and attentive with every pet I meet. I am a special education teacher, so patience, compassion, and adaptability are truly second nature to me. I believe my patience and ability to stay calm under pressure set me apart from many other sitters. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each pet’s unique personality and making them feel loved and cared for while their owners are away. I currently have a rescued Labrador Retriever with anxiety and leash reactivity, so I completely understand how difficult it can feel to leave your pup or take time away when they struggle with anxiety. Anxious dogs do not scare or intimidate me at all — they hold a special place in my heart! I am very familiar with creating calm, structured, positive environments that help pets feel secure and comfortable. One of the most meaningful experiences I’ve had was fostering a Rottweiler who struggled with food reactivity, barrier aggression, leash reactivity, and resource guarding. I spent countless hours working with him patiently and consistently, and he made incredible progress. That experience taught me so much about building trust, reading body language, and helping anxious dogs feel safe and understood. I absolutely adore animals and want your pets to have a spoiled, happy, stress-free time with me! I’m also very active and would be more than happy to provide walks, playtime, exercise, enrichment, and lots of affection based on your pup’s needs and energy level.
