Hi! My name is Melia, a lifelong animal lover and mother to 3 pets who has that unspoken bond with every animal I encounter. I have a Bachelor's degree in UX Research & Design and work in tech. In my free time, you'll find me training my puppy, taking my dogs to the beach, trying a new recipe, or starting a new craft. My experience mostly comes from taking care of my friends' and family's pets, from tiny dogs to giant ones, velcro cats and aloof ones alike, I love them all. This year, after months of planning, I brought home a puppy! (only to be laid off a week later. yikes) But that means I am comfortable helping you train your pup if that's something you're interested in. I joined Rover to hopefully fill my days with what I love most while searching for the next step of my career in this precarious market. Whether your baby needs long walks or calm companionship, I'll make sure they get the affection and attention that they deserve. Melia was wonderful. She had good communication with me throughout the duration of her time house sitting and watching my cat. She also understood how to properly care for a cat who is more shy and takes time to get comfortable around new people. Melia was able to get my cat to come out and play, which several cat sitters had a hard time doing. I would definitely recommend Melia.

Melia watched our two cats for a week while we were away and did an amazing job. She sent lots of photos and updates throughout the week, was a great houseguest, and even our shy guy was comfortable around her. We came home to two relaxed happy kitties, and will definitely use her again in the future.
Melia was amazing with my golden retriever, Beau! 🐶 She was so kind, attentive, and clearly loves what she does. I felt completely at ease knowing Beau was in such good hands. Schedule
I am currently unemployed, so I have plenty of time to spend with your pet! I have more flexibility Friday-Monday than I do mid-week, but we can coordinate if my schedule doesn't align with what you're looking for.

A typical day
Mental stimulation is just as important as physical exercise, and with me your pet will get both! Your pet can expect long walks, fun puzzles, and lots of snuggles. I can also help with training.
