I have been dog sitting the past 4 years. Ever since I moved to Bellingham leaving my golden retriever that I grew up with at home with my parents I have loved the opportunity to care for dogs that remind me how special they are as companions. I have experience with potty training and completely understand that accidents can happen for both young and old dogs. Whatever stage of life your dog is at I will treat them with the same love and care as I would my own.

My top priority is to make sure your pets feel safe and stress free while you are away. I will always do as much as I can to maintain the same habits as they have with the owner even if that means I am sharing a bed with a massive husky! Communication is so important for me so I always offer picture updates throughout the week so that you know your pets are in good hands.

Melia is great! She looked after my 10 year old husky littermates 4 days a week for 3 weeks in a row while I was starting a new job an hour and a half away. My male husky requires a nightly pill and can have some nighttime anxiety. Melia was great with him. I requested daily updates and photos and Melia was very good about sending them. She also put up with the various states of moving chaos as I was packing everything up to move! If I still lived in Bellingham I would definitely book Melia again, we miss her!
Melia did a fantastic housesitting job for our senior Golden named Sadie! She was very communicative, professional and made us feel comfortable leaving our needy dog with someone so compassionate. I would not hesitate to book again and look forward to it. I appreciate your help Melia and Thank you again for helping us out.
Melia did a great job taking care of my dogs and garden. She provided regular updates, asked good questions, was responsive, kept the house clean, and my dogs were very happy.
Melia was amazing we have a bit a high maintenance toy poodle but Melia made him feel so comfortable! Melia is the best highly recommended!
We highly recommend Melia for her reliability and excellent care! She always does great with our 3 cats and dog who all have very different personalities. I’m an anxious pet parent but I didn’t have to worry at all during the week we were gone. Thanks Melia.
Melia was so great with our dog and three cats while housesitting! Excellent communication and our pets were all calm and happy when we returned which was the biggest sign that she was attentive to everyone’s needs. We will feel comfortable leaving Melia with our pets and home again this summer!

Dates de la garde
I work 4 days a week 7am-3pm and have a lunch break that I can let dogs out. My evenings are very free to spend with your sweet pets on walks, playing in the yard, or snuggling on the couch!
