Dogs are more than just pets and animals to me — I firmly believe they are family and have more loving and good souls than a lot of humans. ♥️ I still learn a lot through my dog, Thor, everyday and he still learns a lot from me. Consistency is key— which is how we (my boyfriend and I) trained him well since adopting him as a 13-week-old puppy. It’s still a learning process and we try to teach him new things all the time. It’s beautiful watching his journey into becoming the best version of himself. I’d love to take the same approach with your pup if you give us a chance! 😊 Our household environment is very calm and nurturing, yet also fun and playful; consisting of only two adult humans and one adult dog. We love sharing photo and video updates with fellow paw-rents because we know how it feels when you miss them. It’s important to capture memories of our fur babies and we have experience doing it too (for Thor’s own social media account) . You can be sure that your dog(s) will love their stay with the three of us and will be treated with one-on-one love and care. They might end up loving us so much that they don’t want to leave! 😉

We left our pup for 10 days with Melanie. It was our first time leaving the dog with someone we didn't know & we were worried. It was a difficult decision but we were glad we chose her. Our dog Ash & her dog Thor got along so well. They were having fun & playing the whole time. Melanie would send pictures & videos a few times a day. She followed all the instructions we gave her about Ash's diet. We couldn't be happier with her. We will for sure be using her services again- if we need a sitter in future.
Luna enjoyed her stay with Melanie. Gave updates all the time and sent pictures. Treated my dog as it was her very own.

Melanie is absolutely the best ! The best testimony is my dog reaction when she sees Melanie - my pup will be happily crying , tail wagging and she don't want to leave when we come to pick her up, so that means she had a really good time with Melanie. ( She will send me photos and videos of my dog playing and having the best time too!) Highly recommended!!!!

Schedule
I currently work from home so my schedule is a lot more flexible on weekdays. Weekends are also open to fit your pet care needs! Let me know what your needs are and we’ll try our best to accommodate them.

Safety, trust & environment
We live in a safe and relatively quiet neighborhood on the eastern outer edge of the city. Our medium-sized backyard is surrounded by 5-foot to 6-foot high fences with locked gates. Lots of water provided both inside our house and outside in the yard in the summer, with sunny and shady spots available. In the wintertime, we make sure not to keep pups out for too long, especially on colder days (unless you have a cold-loving breed). Your fur baby will also have a four-year-young friendly and playful German Shepherd Husky dog to keep them company. 😊🐕 If your pup enjoys toys, then we’ve got a whole basketful that ours will happily share! We also have a large crate on hand (as our dog is crate-trained), along with multiple large dog beds. Additionally, we have two adjustable and movable dog gates that can be used both indoors and outdoors if needed in order to prevent access to certain areas.
Pets
A typical day
I love providing both mentally and physically enriching activities to keep dogs happy. Mental stimulation includes scentwork, hide and seek, treat/food puzzles, interactive toys, sniff walks, scatter feeding, and so much more. Physical enrichment consists of supervised play with dog friends, fetch, tug-of-war, long walks, slow jogs, interval training, or even just a good game of chase and playing in the backyard. We live within short walking and driving distance to so many parks and trails, so we’ll often go on “sniffaries”. 🐽 If you and your dog are comfortable with dog parks, we have a few within close driving distance that we’d be more than happy to show your pup as well. Our pup loves going there to try and meet new friends who love to play!
