I work full-time in the office, with occasional telework days. Fortunately, my office is only ten minutes from home, so I’m able to come back each day during my lunch break to let the dogs out for a potty break and some playtime. My husband is a self-employed electrical contractor, and there are times when he’s home while I’m at work. When either of us is home, the dogs are taken out at least every two hours.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a fully fenced yard and two friendly pups of our own. Because they experience a bit of separation anxiety, our dogs relax in their kennels when no one is home. For that reason, I ask that any dogs staying with us are crate trained as well. Crates are only used when the house is empty. Otherwise, all dogs are free to enjoy the home and make themselves comfortable.

Information Melanie & Randy W. would like to know about your pet
To make sure your pet has the best, safest, and most comfortable stay, I like to gather a few important details ahead of time: Daily routine: Feeding schedule, potty habits, and any normal routines that help your pet feel at ease. Crate use: Whether your dog is crate trained and how they usually handle being crated when no one is home. Temperament & behavior: How they do with other dogs, new people, and new environments; any anxiety triggers or quirks I should be aware of. Health information: Any medications, allergies, ongoing conditions, or special needs. Energy level: Are they a high-energy pup who loves long walks, or do they prefer a laid-back environment? Training cues: Commands they know and respond to, plus any rules you follow at home (furniture, treats, etc.). Comfort items: Favorite toys, blankets, or anything that helps them feel at home. Emergency contacts: Your preferred vet and how to reach you when needed. Vaccines: Are your dogs vaccines up to date? Knowing these details helps me tailor care to your pet’s personality and make their stay as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
A typical day
In the mornings, I start the day by letting the dogs out into our fenced-in yard while I prepare their food. After breakfast, they’re free to roam, play, or relax as I get ready for work. Before I leave, I let them out once more, and if my husband leaves later than I do, he’ll give them another potty break before heading out. I come home on my lunch break to let the dogs out again so they can potty, stretch their legs, and play. In the evenings after work, we typically take them for a walk around our neighborhood. Once we’re back home, I make dinner, and we spend the rest of the night unwinding and cuddling on the couch. On weekends, the dogs are let out at least every two hours to go to the bathroom, play, and explore, so they always get plenty of attention and activity.

Pet care experience
Hi! I’m Alicia (I go by my middle name) and I’m an animal lover who has had dogs in my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve owned dogs for the last 16 years, and I truly can’t imagine a home without them. I currently share my life with Cruz and Azalea, 8-year-old litter mates who originally came to me as foster puppies through a local rescue. I quickly became a proud “foster fail” after falling completely in love with them! My dogs are my family, and the best part of my day is winding down together, all cuddled up on the couch. There are no children in our home, so visiting dogs receive plenty of calm, consistent attention, affection, and companionship. Whether your pup needs a cozy place to stay, a reliable sitter, or someone who understands the little things that make dogs feel safe and happy, I’m here to help. I treat every dog like my own and will make sure your furry family member feels right at home. I maintain personal liability coverage specifically for pet sitting. Since I have a small dog in my home, dogs over 40lbs will be considered on a case by case basis. A meet and greet is required for all dogs over 40lbs.
Reviews

Melanie and Randy took care of my dog Gizmo while I was out of town. They are very kind and caring with my senior dog. They treated Gizmo as if she was another member of their family. I will definitely book Gizmo's next stay with them!

Alicia and Randy are wonderful pet hosts!!! The care, attention, professionalism, follow up, and the love they have for their furry clients are just a few examples of superior work. You can instantly tell that they have a genuine love for animals, my Lola was treated with love and great care. I recommend Alicia to anyone that is looking for a safe and loving place for their pets stay. Thank you a million times Alicia, Randy, and their pets Cruz and Azalea for opening your house for Lola.

We highly recommend Melanie and Randy. They welcomed Dean Martin and treated him like their own. Our flight home was cancelled and our arrival was almost 24 hours later than planned but Melanie and Randy were flexible and accommodated our request to extend Dean Martin's stay. It made a stressful travel situation less stressful knowing that Dean Martin was well loved and cared for. Thank you!

I highly recommend Melanie and Randy to care for your pets! Our dog,Pax, can only have a certain type of dog toy, since he is a heavy chewer, and Melanie made sure that he would only have non-destructable toys to play with. She also gave updates with pictures to let me know how Pax was settling in. I felt very comfortable with Melanie and Randy caring for Pax and will definitely rebook with them on the future.
