I adore all animals!
I am a retired ER RN. Have always loved dogs of any size. We have three dogs. Mike, Sophie, Billie. Also Three cats. All of our dogs I have trained in obedience and Good Canine Citizen Certification. Mike is a Dalmatian Mix, he was my obedience competitor he did very well. He now has arthritis in both knees, he is now retired. Happy and content in his forever home! Sophie is our beagle mix and is currently training in dog agility. She either gets first or nothing! We have fun trying! Billie our Coon Hound Mix is going to start dock diving locally. I have actually talked my husband into training him! Positive training is the way to be most effective. I used to work 12hr nights and had to depend on neighbors to let my dogs out. I do wish "Rover" was an option then! I do have the knowledge to administer medications if needed oral or injections with my background as a Registered Nurse, Paramedic with 25 years of experience. We also have 3 cats they are all seniors. One is a diabetic and requires checking his blood sugar then giving insulin. Another has thyroid issues and requires oral meds twice a day. I am Red Cross Certified for Cat and Dog First Aid. I adore all animals. Most of all, the safety of your pet is my number one goal! Then having a safe fun walk makes everyone happy! I have an outside cat that I have been taking care of for about 3 months, and would love to bring him indoors, where he would prefer to be, it seems. But my two dogs scare him, so that's been a no-go so far. I needed to leave town for the week, and Melanie came to the rescue! She took such great care of Simon while I was gone, and I cannot thank her enough. I highly recommend Melanie's pet care services, although I selfishly would like to keep her to myself - lol. No gatekeeping. Melanie is 100% reliable, and I would trust her with your pet care needs.
