Hi there! I’m Mel, a lifelong dog lover with over 25 years of experience owning, caring for and being around dogs. I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and am very comfortable with all sorts of personalities, temperaments and sizes, particularly larger breeds. Over the years, I’ve owned and cared for a Doberman, Golden Retriever and Springer Spaniel, so I’m very used to everything that comes with having dogs around – from training and long walks to playtime, cuddles and plenty of attention! I absolutely adore dogs and would love to offer dog walking, dog sitting and drop-in visits during the week and at weekends. I know how important it is to feel completely comfortable with the person looking after your dog, so I’ll always treat them with the same care, patience and affection I would my own. I currently don’t have any pets in my home, and I live close to several large, dog-friendly parks, making it easy to get out for plenty of walks and fresh air. Melanie is always very kind to our dog Pirata and we always get photos and updates. She is very responsive and communicative! We totally trust her to look after Pirata on any occasion.
Melanie was fantastic. After an injury, I was hesitant to leave Tommy but for the first time was able to have a stress free day. Melanie kept me informed through out the day with little updates and pictures. Thank you so much for taking care of Tommy!

Mel was wonderful with Lexi! I got loads of photos and saw Lexi was well taken care of whilst we went out for the evening. Will definitely leave Lexi with her again and recomend to others.
Melanie has grown up around dogs and has a very special way with them. She loves and appreciates dogs more than anyone I know, and will certainly take great care of any dog that is entrusted to her. She is also extremely responsible, knowledgeable and reliable in general, but especially when it comes to caring for dogs. She is able to handle all types of breeds, and is especially experienced with larger dogs. I would not hesitate to hire Melanie as she will care for your dog as if its her own, and you can rest assured they will be in amazing hands!

I’ve never met an individual quite like Melanie that has the dogs best intentions at heart always. She considers the pets whole body, mind, and spirit through wellness/health practices. I’ve learned so much from Melanie in terms of care for our pets, whether it was her constant admiration and appreciation for a random dog on the street, her willingness to always let the pup get fresh air and sprint at the end of each day or giving them a chance to dip their toes in the ocean to simply see the smile on your pets faces smile —she’s the real deal!
