Caring Dog Sitter/Walker
**IMPORTANT: I can only board and house sit hypo allergenic dogs and hairless cats I have allergy asthma to cat dander and dog dander, so I unfortunately can only board hairless cats and hypoallergenic dogs. Hypo breeds: poodles, shih tzus, lhasa apsos, maltese, barbet, bighorn frisé, and portuguese water dogs. I can sometimes board mixes as long as the predominant breed is hypo.** I love living in Vancouver since moving in September 2023, but I really miss my friend’s and family’s dogs I would hang out with. I find it to be very therapeutic to hang out, play and snuggle with a dog I have many years of dog walking and dog sitting experience. I am kind and love snuggles but am strict when necessary. I will always put your pets safety first. I’m experienced with all sizes of dogs, from shih tzus to standard poodles. I am located in Gastown in an apartment. Lots of little parks around. At home, dogs are allowed on couch and will be encouraged to snuggle up to me while I read or embroider.

Schedule
I am currently not working so have a very flexible schedule. I will curate my schedule to the dog’s needs- ie. if they’re senior and need to go out to pee late at night or early in morning, or a puppy who needs to pee frequently, or any medical or disability needs. I will walk doggo at least twice a day. I will never leave the dog longer than 4 hours. Or if the dog has special needs, I will only leave them for short periods (cater to their needs).

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a pet friendly apartment complex in Gastown. There are little parks nearby I will walk the dog to. If the dog has a carrier and is comfortable in buses and/or skytrains, I’m more than happy to do little excursions to larger parks and to dog parks. I live in a cozy bachelor apartment with a patio. The dog is welcome to go anywhere he/she wants (couches, bed, etc). No children or other animals live with me.
A typical day
The activities will depend on the dog’s personality and needs. For example: Able bodied higher energy dogs: long walks and more frequent walks. Big walks to Cardero Park and further. Seniors and/or special needs dogs: activities will be catered to their needs, abilities and personalities.
