Hi, I'm Melanie! I'm a pre-veterinary student at Montclair State University, and I can't remember a time when animals weren't a part of my life. ‎ For the past six years my best friend has been my Border Collie, April. If you know Border Collies, you know they're incredibly smart, full of energy, and always keeping you on your toes. She taught me patience, responsibility, and how to notice the small things. April is family to me, and that bond made me want to share that same level of care with other families. ‎ I don't have a ton of sitting experience yet, and I know that can make trusting someone a little harder. That's why I'm always happy to do a meet-and-greet. It gives us both a chance to get to know each other, lets you see how I interact with your pet, and gives you the opportunity to ask any questions before making a decision. I believe that no two animals are alike, so I don't rely on one standard approach. I take time to learn each pet's personality and specific needs, and I build my care entirely around that. ‎ Friends and family would describe me as dependable, compassionate, and adventurous.
