I’ve taken care of dogs, cats, birds, lizards and rabbits at all stages of life and who often have special needs. I have fostered over 70 dogs and cats including neonatals, paraplegic and senior animals. I am comfortable with bathing, giving oral and syringe medication (to pets who don’t want it usually), expressing bladders, and most other tasks a vet would ask someone to do at home. I truly love animals and will do anything to make sure they are comfortable, happy, and well looked after.

Melanie was very friendly, and two of my cats really took a liking to her. She was very conscientious and checked in on my cat who was hiding, which I appreciated. While she didn't consistently come in the mornings to administer my diabetic cat's insulin injection, she did explain when she couldn't and tried to make it right. I would hire her again as a petsitter.
Melanie was great! She took amazing care of my cat and always showed her lots of love. She also stepped up and helped out with some medications that needed to be administered last minute. We can't wait to have her come again!

Schedule
I work from home so I attend to pets needs as needed, letting the dogs out every 2-3 hours. I don’t leave the house for more than 2-3 hours at a time to accommodate their needs.

I have a fully fenced yard and lots of experience keeping pets who don’t get along well separated. I know everyone takes their own time for things and I go at the speed the baby needs. Crating or separating in a different room is always an option.

A typical day
We are super chill in the house and love cuddles and playing in the backyard! Our fun activities include lots of toys and doggy puzzles, and walks around the neighborhood (if that’s your thing!)
