My name is Melanie, I’m 25 and I live in Poquoson! I have two dogs of my own at home and I have a serious love for animals of all kinds. I love walking my dogs and meeting other dogs along the route and giving them love and pets. I also love cats, they are so loving and calm and they can also be feisty which is so funny to me! I would love to be able to use Rover as an opportunity to make money while doing something that I truly love, being around precious dogs, cats and any other furry friend you may need care for! i grew up with dogs from the day I was born, and also grew up with an African Grey parrot! I love all pets and would be happy to be considered for your pet’s care. :)

Hi, I would just like other pet owners know that this sitter cancelled on me not only the morning she was supposed to start sitting my dogs, but at about the same time. I was driving into the mountains and wasn’t sure how long I would have cell service, so I was scrambling to find someone at the very last minute and ended up paying way more than I wanted to. This person gave me a cell number, but wouldn’t respond to my calls or texts after canceling through the app. I would not attempt to book this person again for any services, as I consider that irresponsible, unprofessional behavior.
Melanie took great care of our two dogs in our house while we were out of town. She was very responsive, sent good photos, and was always punctual. We will definitely use Melanie’s services again, our pups loved her!
Melanie has stayed with my two cats many times. I have great comfort in knowing that she is following instructions and helping them maintain normalcy while I am away. She is good with playtime, cuddles, and will also text me pictures and updates. I appreciate her doing this because it gives me peace of mind that all is well so I may enjoy my time away. Melanie is also an EMT so I have comfort in knowing that she can calmly and rationally address an emergency situation if needed.
This young lady is a true animal lover and it shows! Dependable and compassionate...my dogs adored her. I would highly recommend Melanie for your pet sitting needs!
