Your pet's safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet's routine, personality, preferences, and any special needs before their stay so I can provide individualized care. In my home, pets are treated like family and receive plenty of supervision, playtime, exercise, and affection throughout the day. I maintain a clean, pet-friendly environment with a securely fenced yard for supervised outdoor play. I carefully monitor all interactions between pets and never leave pets unsupervised together if I am unsure of compatibility. For drop-in visits, walks, and housesitting, I respect each client's home and follow all care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise routines, and household preferences. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel confident and connected while they're away. I am home most of the day, allowing me to provide consistent supervision and companionship. My goal is always to create a safe, loving, low-stress environment where pets feel comfortable, secure, and cared for.

Before caring for your pet, I'd love to know as much as possible about their routine and personality. Please let me know about feeding schedules, medications, allergies, potty habits, exercise needs, favorite activities, fears or anxieties, and how they interact with other pets, children, and new people. I also appreciate knowing about any behavioral concerns, training cues, escape tendencies, resource guarding, or special accommodations your pet may need. My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable experience while maintaining the routine your pet is most familiar with.
A typical day
Every pet is different, so I tailor activities to their age, energy level, and personality. A typical day includes plenty of potty breaks, supervised playtime, affection, rest, and enrichment throughout the day. For active dogs, we enjoy walks, fetch, outdoor play in the fenced yard, and interactive games. For more relaxed pets, I provide plenty of companionship, cuddles, and a calm environment where they can feel comfortable and secure. Because I am home most of the day, pets receive lots of attention and supervision rather than being left alone for long periods. My goal is to make their stay feel like a fun vacation while keeping them comfortable and maintaining their normal routine as much as possible.

Hi, I'm Melanie! I've been around animals my entire life and have experience caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages, and personalities—from energetic Blue Heelers and playful Pit Bulls to Stubborn Bulldogs, Loving Retrievers, and everything in between. As a stay-at-home mom, I have a flexible schedule and am home the majority of the day, allowing me to provide plenty of attention, supervision, playtime, and companionship. My goal is to make your pet feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you're away—just like part of the family. I have two friendly Bulldogs of my own (one a senior doggie) and two animal-loving children (ages 7 and 5), and also an *infant. Because of our home environment, all pets staying with us should be comfortable around children and other dogs. I believe in being transparent so families can determine whether we're the right fit before booking. Before each stay, I'd love to learn about your pet's routine, personality, likes, dislikes, allergies, medications, and any behavioral concerns. The more information I have, the better I can provide individualized care and help your pet feel at home. I would rather be prepared, especially for behavioral needs/issues. This protects both myself and your pet. Our home features a fenced yard for supervised outdoor play, plenty of toys, and lots of opportunities for exercise and enrichment. My dogs are crated only at bedtime, but I am happy to follow your pet's normal routine whenever possible, whether they are crate-trained or not. Feel free to openly communicate with me. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member! ***Please note: I am a stay-at-home mom, and my children may occasionally accompany me during bookings. I’m not sure your policy with a potential sitter bring kids to the meet up but performing as a sitter at someone’s house while bringing your kids poses many various risks for both the client and sitter. I paid for an hour but had to cut short the drop in visit to 15 mins as it was clearly not acceptable. This did not go well. Melanie was very pleasant but I would strongly not recommend this scenario.
Melanie was simply amazing and caring for my boy! Also I wanna give her a special thanks for being a mother and taking my boy for a walk on Mother’s Day your kids will forever know momma maid it happen so happy Mother’s Day as well Melanie!
