A typical day
I will greet your pup with enthusiasm and love, take special care to ensure they are ready to go, and then head out on a wonderful walk exploring the beautiful neighborhood in North Park, or nearby. We will take lots of breaks to sniff and meet other pups (if appropriate for your pooch), and ensure your pup is nice and tired by the end of our walk!

With a passion for providing exceptional care and companionship to dogs of all breeds, I am excited to announce my new dog walking business - North Park Pooch Patrol, serving North Park and surrounding areas in beautiful San Diego. Having moved from Canada, I bring extensive experience, having owned and cared for a variety of dogs, from small breeds like Bichon Frisé, Lhasa Apso and beagles to larger breeds such as Great Danes and Rhodesian Ridgebacks. Over the past two years, I have honed my skills as a professional dog walker, ensuring that every dog I work with receives personalized attention and care, including those with special needs such as anxiety or fearfulness. I am now eager to offer my services to pet owners in San Diego, providing a safe, loving environment where your furry friends will thrive! Let me help you give your dogs the best experience possible!

Very grateful for Mel and the help she gave me with Zoey. Some of my longer days at the office I had Mel go to my house to pick up Zoey for her walk so she wasn’t alone all day. It took the stress off trying to rush home on my lunch. My Zoey is always so excited whenever she sees Mel, I think it’s the extra belly rubs. If you’re looking for a trustworthy person who cares just as much about your fur kid as you, Mel’s your girl!
Melanie was great with my dog! She was always on time, friendly, communicative and my dog was always more than happy to leave with her.
Melanie boarded by dog Molly (husky-golden mix) many times when I was travelling a lot, for 1-3 weeks at a time. Because Molly had a number of medical needs (daily eye drops, pills, specialized feeding), it was really important for me to leave her with someone I could trust to manage all her extra needs. She always came back healthy and happy and was always super excited to see Melanie. She took a lot of stress off of leaving a dog with medical needs in the care of others (iykyk!).
Dog owners understand the need to have a trusted and reliable dog sitter and walker. I have had the good fortune of having Melanie Forsberg care for my dog on numerous occasions. She provided a safe environment with plenty of exercise and play time. She followed our usual routines which helped my anxious dog adapt easily to our absence. I would highly recommend her.
