I currently spend most of my time dog walking, caring for dogs and studying PT and nutrition. I have a passion and love for all dogs however i have a soft spot for the larger breeds :) I combine the 2 passions well to ensure the most appropriate care and well being is being considered when it comes to animal welfare. I adore German shephards and spent a decade enjoying time working with my own and a pack. I am independent and enjoy traveling and supporting/ providing animal care where i can. I understand the value of our animals. I study personal training and nutrition along side dog care. I am a huge advocate for health and well being. I am qualified in animak nutrition and animal first aid + CPR. Please check my calender for my availability and i look forward to hearing from you!

A typical day
Love, cuddles, mental and physical stimulation. Bonding and creating a safe space for the dog to feel calm and happy is important to me. Training, exercise and naps are all apart of the days events.

-20 years + dog experience. -First Aid & CPR trained -Dog Nutrition diploma - Practical advice -Limited dogs at a time -Love and work with all dog breeds. -Frequent updates of tail wags and routines -Owned and have a huge passion for German Shephards. Worked with litters and managed a pack. -Always cared for friends and family members dogs. -Worked with rescue dogs and large german shephard litters. -Aware of larger dog breed care and enjoy the element of companionship that comes through training and discipline. -often found myself enjoying very rewarding experiences from farm environments with large german shephard groups to smaller breeds. All come with their own quirks, challenges and characteristics. I heartbreakingy had to nurse my German Shephard of 5 years with severe IBD and AID. I fully understand the importance of optimising animal nutrition and their longevity.

Mel was brilliant with our two terriers. She sent loads of videos and photos so we could keep up to date with their fun and games and the dogs were relaxed and happy when we got home. She did a great job with their various nutritional and medication requirements. Mel was a very tidy houseguest and we have already booked her for a second time.
I would recommend Melanie to anyone and everyone needing someone to look after their dog. She looked after our cockapoo Dougal whilst we were getting married. Dougal is full of energy and can quite often be a little full on, this was his first time staying with someone he didn’t know so we were a little nervous as to how he might be but we really didn’t need to be! From the moment Melanie arrived we were all put at immediate ease (including Dougal) that we’d made the right choice for Dougal. Throughout the weekend Melanie so kindly kept us updated with videos and pictures so we knew we didn’t have a single thing to worry about and could enjoy our wedding without a worry! She took him on so many walks and adventures that I’m sure Dougal is now back with his parents and not his new best friend! We truly cannot thank you enough! Xxxx
Melanie was an utter delight. She was lovely with our little dog who took to her easily. Sje was punctual, communicative and took good care of our home also. I would highly recommend her
It was amazing having Melanie look after our fur babies. As very stressed parents she gave us loads of updates and really put us at easy. Would highly recommend. And we will definitely be having her to look after Sapphire and Diablo again.
