Hi there! I’m Melanie! I recently moved to North Carolina from Tennessee for my husband’s job and to continue my education. I’m a registered nurse working PRN and have been on Rover for several years, caring for pets of all kinds! I have a special heart for animals and truly enjoy spending time with them and getting to know each pet’s unique personality. I have two cats of my own, Bell and Leia, who are very loved! I also have a soft spot for stray and community cats and helped care for a local cat colony back in Tennessee. I know how important it is to feel comfortable and confident with the person caring for your pets, and I always strive to treat every animal with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! 🐾

I live in an apartment complex in Cary by the lake. There plenty of area outside for potty breaks as well as a safe area to make sure they get their walks if needed!

Melanie went above and beyond when she watched our cat, Penny. Penny has stomach issues and had a pretty bad accident outside of her litter box. Melanie cleaned it up without complaint and made sure to reassure us that Penny was acting alert, hungry, etc (all the things that would suggest she’s otherwise healthy!) we felt horrible that Penny’s stomach was acting up while we were gone but totally at ease that she was being cared for.
Melanie is very responsible and always keeps me updated. Definitely recommend!

Schedule
I’m currently working PRN so I have some flexibility. Right now I am only accepting drop-ins due to my schedule. On the days that I do pick up shifts I still offer drop-in visits (and of course I’ll check-in to see if the times work for you)

- Let me know if your dog or cat has any special needs ahead of time that way I can prepare. Also, any requests would be appreciated in a written list or text so I can ensure the best care.
