Comfortable, Caring, and Fun!
I grew up on a farm and have been around animals my whole life. My partner and I also assisted with running a rescue for a number of years and fostered many dogs that would otherwise be euthanized, many unsocialized. We have two dogs of our own currently. We can only take large dogs at this time unfortunately and only one dog at a time. I have experience with training dogs as well as training in animal behavior.

Melanie and David provided excellent care of our dog Clover. Melanie was very responsive to messages and particularly understanding of Clover's fear of loud noises. Will definitely use her again in the future
Melanie would make a fantastic pet sitter! She loves animals so much she chose a career that benefits wildlife. I've seen Melanie foster many dogs , including ones with special needs or ones that experienced high levels of trauma. Dogs like that require incredible amounts of patience and love. Melanie has 3 dogs herself that she cares very much for. She also had a cat that lived a long time. The ages of her pets and their good health is testament to a caring owner who keeps up on veterinary appointments and takes it seriously that pets are a lifelong commitment. Melanie herself is a fun, friendly person who both you and your pets will love!

Schedule
I currently work Monday-Thursday but can come home on lunch. My partner works from home and will be able to spend time with your dog during the day assisting with whatever is needed for your furbaby. I'm home in the evenings and we are both around on the weekends. .

Safety, trust & environment
We have 2 larger pups that will be interacting with your dog. We have a 6 ft fenced backyard with a large separate 6-foot fenced dog run. We also have large crates if needed, as well as a separate mother in law suite level in the house. We have several security cameras throughout the house and yard.
Pets
A typical day
We are active and love taking our dogs with us to do outdoor activities and can take your dog with us out and about as well. We have a fenced large yard and separate dog run for the dogs to play in during the day. Can also arrange for playtime or walks as needed.
