I’ve taken care of dogs and cat since I was a kid. It started with walking my neighbor‘s dog and convincing my family to get a cat. I’ve always found my way back to having a pet myself one way or another. I adopted my current babies from shelters (1 dog, 11, 2 cats, 3&4) and have fostered a dog for 2 years.

I will be sure to follow your preference in how you would like your pets handled. I am one who will carry full conversations with animals like they know how to respond. My own dog loves his walks and has grown a lot since we first got him, going from barking at everything and everyone to now trusting me and the environment. I understand that you can’t force a pet (cat or dog) to love you. I respect their space and will make sure they are alright.
Ratings and reviews
Mel has adopted a senior dog (Buddy), and 2 kittens now cats that have been able to have a healthy loving home with more than adequate food ,space, attention and vet care. I have trust her with my fur babies as well as my own human children. Her, her partner and her son all contribute to the love and care for the family pets. Any one would not question the care any animal would have staying with this family.
I’ve known and been friends with Melanie for over 18 years and she is one of the most reliable people I've ever known! I have witnessed her taking great care of not only her own but other people’s pets. I'd trust her with my own in a heartbeat, as she has often watched my dog and cat when we still lived closer to each other. My two dogs now also warmed up to her quickly, as one of them is a bit skittish and the other one quite skeptical when meeting people. Melanie is warm and patient with pets, as she understands that different animals have their own pace at getting to know a new human.
