I’ve always loved animals and taking care of them is something I love. I took some vet classes in high school that helped me learn the basics! Such as their body behavior, basic handling, and how to administer medication. I also gained some experience with grooming and caring for senior dogs, as I understand older pets need extra patience and attention. I’ve trained my own dog to perform many tricks and sleep on his own, so if you have a puppy I’d be more than happy to show them some basic tricks and commands during our time together. While training takes time I’m always happy to help them learn more and build good habits.

Melanie was amazing! I had to come to town for an event, so I needed someone to watch my baby. Melanie was so caring and even kept me updated with photos and messages. I definitely felt comfortable! I know my sweetie was in good hands. I will absolute be booking Melanie again when I come back to visit!

Schedule
I’m currently available to do walks or pet visits in the evening where I can then on a walk or even go to the park and play. I’m a full time student and worker as well so for right now the only days I’m available are Friday and Sundays for boarding, pet sitting, and home visits and need at least a 2 day notice please!

Safety, trust & environment
I live in an apartment where there is a little doggy park and it’s a very dog friendly environment. Inside my apartment they are able to be on the furniture and be with me at all times. I will be taking them out every 1-2 hours or if you need me to do it more often I would be more than happy to. While they are with me if you have any extra requests to have them be on the bed or keep them in their crate I will be happy to follow that.
A typical day
I love playing with dogs it brings me a lot of joy. I’m physically someone that likes to run and move around a lot so going to the park and playing with them is no problem for me. I also love cuddles and giving them a lot of love. Going out for walks I like for them to see everything and to feel happy. If you have toys please bring them so I can play with them with your dog. I will also have some toys in my apartment that they can play with.
